Hi guys. I am sick of offending comments and insults. I would prefer you people that engage in this activity to simply not bother reading my shit. You know what you are getting now so don’t bother visiting. I am a real fucking person. I am sick of writing what I do or don’t do. My success or lack thereof. What I like or don’t like. Only to have it ridiculed like you know anything about me and my goals or you never make mistakes or you simply have the world by the balls. I can take the criticism (because that’s how I have learned). I admit when I’m wrong. I acknowledge my shortcomings. And I seldom rub my success in anybody’s face. But you folks that want to come on here and insult me can stick it. I honestly do not care one bit if I only have 5 readers. I never push an agenda. I simply say what’s on my mind and what I’ve been doing. Apparently that makes me fair game for insults.
There is an appalling lack of civility on the web. It’s truly pathetic.

I’d just like to add that I really like the straightforward attitude you give here. There’s too much bullshit in IM and I come back here again and again for the experience you have, as it helps me to know I’m not the only one going through this stuff. If people spent more time concentrating on giving out something good, then maybe they would get back more good stuff. But for most people this is just too hard – it’s easier to knock and criticise.
So, keep on keeping on….
I Thank You.

Thanks Paul.

Human beings across all cultures do appear to have evolved into an unsophisticated, lowly, habitually mean and angry group.
The more opportunities we have to better ourselves each day, the worst it seems we actually become.
It’s pretty sad when you ponder it. This barbaric behavior can be seen across all age groups too.
I’m glad you’ve taken the time to address it in your corner of the world.
Cheers!

Don’t let these parasites bother you. One thing you have to remember about the web is that everyone is a “Tough” guy behind their computer monitor. When they see the chance to flame and attack they will jump on it like a rabbid rat on cheese.
I’ve been visiting your site for the past couple weeks and like the honest perspective you bring, rather than “hype” and BS.
Keep up the good work. How are your authority projects coming along? I’m working a one of my own. I’ll admit that it’s nice focussing my efforts on one site rather than 50. For some reason my brain wasn’t built to multitask!

Hey Sunshinegirl. It seems like it has continued to get worse and I’ve no doubt it’s because of the ease and anonymity of the web.
The kids are taking insults to whole new levels. Then again the political arena is incredibly nasty.
Splork // Oct 23, 2009 at 9:49 am
Hey Moose. Yea, I just thought that after, 2 years or so of posting on this stupid blog, to let those parasites know that I’ve just about had it. Honesty apparently counts for shit and I tend to err on letting my mistakes overshadow any success I’ve had. I guess that’s my fault that I don’t post my earnings and brag about it. I just never saw the point. What I make or don’t make has no bearing on what I choose to write about on this blog. I make it perfectly clear that this is an opinion blog and just an average guy’s perspective in Internet marketing.
My supersites are dragging along. Posting some articles. It takes some time to find my voice. When I decided to write about my passion or whatever, I thought that I would be able to write with no problem. Daily missives. It’s tougher than I thought. I don’t want to write crap. But I don’t want to get stuck trying to write great prose every time either. I mean, as much as I might like the topic the idea is to make money. Instead of bouncing between too numerous to maintain niche sites I would have maybe up to 5-6 supersites to maintain. It is proving easier said than done. Still, and always will be, a work in progress. But it’s fun to try.

Hey, this is to let you know that not everyone feels that way.
I love coming to this blog precisely because of your no bullshit atitiude.
It’s through this blog that I found Grizzly’s blog and The Keyword Academy so I have to actually thank you for helping me.
What I’v noticed on the net in general is that anyone who dares to voice an opinion is going to get some backlash and in some ways that’s good because poeple have to back their talk if they want anyone to listen but some people are just trolls and trash anyone that is doing better than them or someone who poo poo’s their ill guided methods.
All I have to say is, don’t change anything. Keep doing your thing. I’m always looking for your review of the latest IM prducts because I know you’ll cut through all the hype and tell us if there is anything of value in there.
Also sometimes you’ll feel like there are only haters on your blog but it usually the haters that will write the comments. People like me who love and read every post will not usually comment but in this case I felt you should know that the people like me are here and we love what you’re doing.

Like Paul says, keep on keeping on.
Some people just get a kick out of throwing out insults from the anonimity of their keyboards.
Most of them are simply sad little trolls. Others are just so full of their own self-importance they think they own the internet.
That’s really sad.
Both kinds are pathetic.
You have a unique site here, where you say what you think without letting the trolls get to you.
Don’t let them take that away.

My philosophy is: if I wouldn’t say it to a person’s face, I won’t write it in a comment box. That seems to work out pretty well.
Splork // Oct 23, 2009 at 10:51 am
Thanks for reading Ketan.
Splork // Oct 23, 2009 at 11:02 am
I agree Zania. I’m still going to add my opinion to the mix. I think it’s good to question the IM stuff being sprayed around the web. I like it and will continue to let my opinions be known. I also don’t have a problem journaling where I am as I navigate through this business. Some things are good. Some bad. No worries either way. Also, I’m not full-time with this so I have a ton of leeway to do what I want to. How I want to. Just because I screw around doesn’t mean I’m suggesting it is the cool thing to do. I have the time and money to do what I want. I’ve never suggested that I do things right or want followers. I’ve always deferred to Court, Griz, Daniel, Marc or Mark among other luminaries to get the smart information. That’s their gig. This is mine.
And you know, I don’t care if I’m criticized. That’s cool. I don’t care if you (people in general) share my opinion or don’t. That’s natural and what should happen in civil dialogue about various opinions.
But the insults are a drag.
Splork // Oct 23, 2009 at 11:04 am
Exactly Amanda. Most people probably share that view. Unfortunately those that do not can be incredibly vile and even cruel. Sad world we spin around on.
Kim // Oct 23, 2009 at 11:17 am
Hey Splork. I’ve been seeing the same thing on other sites and forums too, where people say things they would probably never say to someone’s face. Some forums I won’t even open a thread if I see certain people have posted there. I love your site and value your opinions on all the latest IM products (I wish I’d listened to you about ND). In a perverse sort of way, your rants tend to motivate rather than discourage me! Keep it up.
Kay // Oct 23, 2009 at 11:17 am
Hey Splork, I’m going to apologize to you right now as I feel that my last comment was pretty negative and somewhat offending. I’m a pretty sarcastic person and I guess that just doesn’t translate well online.
Your blog really is a refreshing bit of honesty in a blogosphere full of IMers that just keep pushing that content, links, and more links = $$$ and success.
You have a great site here. Just keep doing your thing and know you have more than just 4 or 5 supporters.
Splork // Oct 23, 2009 at 1:01 pm
Cool. Thanks for reading Kim.
Splork // Oct 23, 2009 at 1:09 pm
Hey Kay, more sarcasm right?
Nothing offensive about anything you’ve written on here and I have no problem with sarcasm. If you knew me offline you’d think I was one of the most sarcastic dudes you knew. And again the criticism is fine. I don’t mind getting called out on a bad play. But as we all know there is a difference in personal attacks and insults versus criticism.
Splork // Oct 23, 2009 at 1:15 pm
For most of you folks who take the time to post on here, keep doing it if you care to. If I approve your comment, assuming Akismet hasn’t eaten it, then of course it’s fine. If you think my post is off the rails. Talk about it. If you think what I’m doing is stupid, tell me why. Every comment is a potential for someone, somewhere, to maybe learn something or think about something in a different way. But to suggest I should just kill myself because of what you perceive as my ineptitude or similar then, really, don’t bother visiting.
Jez // Oct 26, 2009 at 4:15 am
LOL guess thats what comes from calling out bogus IM products… people that peddle snakeoil are ass wipes, you should not expect any better from them.

Splork..
Ah, forgive me for being a bit clueless, (not trying to be rude or negative either) but is there really a preponderance of evidence that people on this blog have side stepped civility?
If that were the case I would not even waste my time visiting here. Most of the products you have reviewed or Guburu’s you have “let the fur fly” about – I find refreshing. Even the off topic commentary is well done.
I have avoided buying certain products because more often then not – my thoughts about a product or service are “simpatico” with yours (I hope that doesn’t scare you! lol).
Other the occasional post that might contain words that border on the slightly negative side of the isle in terms of IM methods and practices, have you really been getting hammered by the “nattering nabobs of negativity?”
Like I said, I must be totally naive or this portion of the Splork show has really flew by me with the speed of an SR-71 Blackbird…
But, at least through my eyes, most folks that stop by your posts tend to be “splork” friendly with the majority of comments, if not all, being mostly “positive pontifications”.
I really can’t understand why people would be hyper critical toward you. Unless of course it was a Guburu who’s latest wiz-bang product you might have disapproved of.
They could send some of their “trolls” to post some less then flattering comments. But, you sound pretty “fired up” here – so it must be pretty bad – or deeply personal.
All, I can say Splork is that I do tend to board the “sarcastic train” from time to time. So, let me offer my humble apologies if I have offended thee “with any of my many pointless point of view” when commenting on this blog. (LOL!)..

No I dig sarcasm. You’d know it if I was annoyed at something you’ve written. And you’ve always made good informative comments. Absolutely most are civil on here. But a few cowards hide behind the anonymity and hurl insults. I just get tired of it sometimes.
Splork Fan // Nov 23, 2009 at 11:32 pm
The Web seems to bring out the worst in some humans simply because they can remain anonymous.
And oh, that is what killed chat and screwed up internet dating… People learn to distrust people sitting behind keyboards =)
