Well, here is the latest madness to get pimped across the internet. Pipeline Profits. 40,000 people watching the video. Only those lucky few 500 will get to play.
Now honestly I have no idea if this is worthwhile. I don’t want to know. There is like 8 videos for your viewing pleasure. I don’t have 2 hours to invest to determine if I want to spend, “definitely less than $3,000″, even if they “probably offer installments.” This is more hyped material that is probably not of value to those of us who bum market, get our articles from PLRPro and work with Project X projects.
So this leaves me confused. Brad Fallon is pimping this hard. He teaches you how to Stomp the Search Engines. Now he pimps something that teaches you how to bypass the search engine to get traffic. Now how happy would you be if you bought STSE and now there is a way the owner is marketing to get traffic without bothering with search engines? I mean personally I’d rather not bother with search engines at all, much less stomp them. Whatever.
All the big dogs are pimping this hard. So that tells me it is expensive. It is hitting all the major lists and the gurus are stumbling over themselves to offer bonuses to get you try to be one of the 500.
I will not be one of 500.

Hi Splork,
I will not be one of the 500 either. However, I have been following this fiasco “Pipeline Profits” from the beginning. It all started with that “Weird Video” e-mail we all received to end 2006. I will say that these guys “Buck and Brock” have used some unbelievably corny tactics in their hype (e-mails and blog) leading up to all of this.
When they first launched “Weird Video”, they claimed their server “blew up” because it couldn’t handle all of the traffic they were getting as a result of the email. Server “blew up”???? Come on, get real. That was a dead giveaway to me that this is nothing more than just another elaborate scam (oops, I mean scheme) to get our “definitely less than $3,000″ today. Not mine though!
They will definitely make a killing today though. If their system costs $2,000, and they sell 500, there’s a cool mil in the bank.
Rock on Splork!

Didn’t these guys make something like $600,000 in one month? Why are they so anxious in revealing their system if they can just keep doing what they’re doing and earning around $7,000,000+ in one year? Why are they so hungry to go after your

Hi Splork,
Here is an honest review that I got from a marketer today. At least he was warning his list, and not try to pimp it out.
=====================================================================
Dear Sam,
I think you will receive a LOT of promo offer concerning pipeline something…Everyone and his (her) brother will simply promote it because there’s a lot of money to make…
by promoting it.
Of course, no one of those who promote it has ever made money with this system. But they still found it’s something that works just by seeing the fat commission they will receive (around $1000 per sale).
This program is about co-registration lead…and it’s simply the most effective way to loose all your money when you’re not a professional marketer. As you probably know, I have worked as a business consultant, mainly off-line during the last 10 years.
When you work for Pepsi, or any other big company on a local scale (Europe for example), when you are planning a big event, or a big product launch, or a big communication campaign launch, for that kind of international company, then you use co-registration services.
I could easily give you the name of the best services that deliver co-registration services, and you would not have to pay $2000 just to get those names (as it is the value proposition of this highly promoted program). But I won’t do it, as it would simply be useless to most of you. To be effecitve, you need a STRONG system (front office, back office, product line,
managers) and a STRONG experience.
There’s no need to go deeper into this. These are tools that are not made for small internet businesses and 99.99% using this will simply loose a lot of money. The offline world is really great, as you have access to really amazing services, but most of the time, they are scaled for large companies.
I don’t know the guys launching this program. What I know is that, those who are able to make money with coregistration do not need this program anyway :-). And, to make it simple, those who don’t know what it is, MUST simply stay away, as you might take big risks (above the $2000 of this program).
What a funny (virutal) world?! It says a lot on the skills and competencies of these so-called gurus who have no idea of what they’re talking about.
Have a nice day
Name withheld
…

I did get another one though from well known guru that I thought had more credibility that that, but I guess I was wrong. He is even offering his well known keyword software and seo software for free, so it must be a good commission for him to be so generous ;).
Just my $0.02

You guys are sick.
Here are some really “genuine” people, laying their guts on the line to make you all millionaires, and you won’t spend a measly $2000?
What is wrong with you people.
It is so easy to become a millionaire on the internet.
Here’s the secret:
You start with 10 million, buy every secret for a year, and end up with 1 million.
Please send your $3000 for this secret to gotcha@idiots.com and receive a free e mail series, allowing you to blow the rest of your million on some other outdated secrets I will pimp to you. The first order to blow up my server, will receive an additional longwinded video on the mating habits of the south American pecking bird……

Your blog rocks sir. I accidently found it. I’ve skimmed the entire blog, and you really woke me up. I’ve been chasing the dream, buying crappy WSO after crappy WSO, along with plenty of other silly, time and money-wasting activities. Keep it up the good work dawg!

Thanks for reading Tom. I appreciate it.

I thought Brandy (Brad & Andy) were one of the good guys. Now, they have gone to the dark side of Internet Marketing. Sigh.
Well said, Sam. Splunking that kind of money for a system that won’t probably be used anyway is a waste of good moolah.
Focus is the key if you want to have at least a small measure of success online. Pick one model and see to it to the bitter end.
I chose one and i’m gonna stick to it like glue.
Guys, you should check out http://www.joomla.org
I’m having a ball with this one. It makes a cinch creating websites after websites if you are on the MASTER PLAN.
Splork, where’s your “Snap” preview link? I really like the snap-on preview thingie.
Cheerio.

Mohamed, dude, thanks for reminding me. I’ll add that back.
Joomla. I agree that’s a great CMS. No doubt. I think it’s just a little more complicated than your run of the mill Wordpress blog.
Charles Masterson // Jan 22, 2007 at 1:31 pm
I’ll disagree with ya’s all. Brad and Andy still teach the best (almost) of building a business that can get traffic.
The Pipline guys are completely legit and have worked out a system where the little guy can get his fingers in the pie.
There is nothing dark about it. Lets say a Readers Digest website is getting 5000 new subscribers a day. On the “Other Offers Page” is a co-opt check box form.
It works just like adwords. But if you get the check-mark you get all the Digest Info.
One of the co-regs those guys do is a “Colon-Blow” product. Ya it can mount up to half a mil pretty fast.
And these guys lined up “Pimps” willing to do smaller deals so the flow can be controlled. They just make sure your ready for 1000 purchases in a day before they open the valve. All legit.
Waylon // Jan 27, 2007 at 10:12 am
From what I am hearing, the Pipeline thing is imploding. First their servers are destroyed during the big signup day (yeah, right), now they are so swamped they cannot answer the many, many support questions of the new members. Also, some of the initial offers gave a 365 day guarantee, later switched to a 30-day guarantee without telling anyone.
Now, after everyone has put up their cash to learn everything there was about the Pipeline system, the two boys in charge announce another big convention in Orlando that will disclose info NOT included in the regular program. Cost: $1250/head.
Buyer beware.
Mike // Jan 29, 2007 at 10:52 am
The whole 1shopoingcart thing is BS, 1shopping can handle a lot more then 500 per hour, that was just a scare tactic designed to get more sales without blaming their own ineptness at setting up a decent server.
I purchased this and can say they teach a couple of decent things and the videos do not suck, but $1800? Maybe $99 tops.
They also changed their return policy from 1 year to 30 days after they had all there sales in.
The one thing I am greatful for about this is now I get less spam after going through every affiliate pipelineprofits email and opting out of these lists.
All I have to say is stay away from these guys, they have no customer support skills whatsover!
Chris // Jan 30, 2007 at 10:01 pm
@Mike - Yep, the “we blew up our server” email is hype. It’s part of a product launch formula, designed by Jeff Walker, who coached Buck & Brock on their launch (Jeff sent an email saying he coached them).
Just like you, I’d be surprised if their servers *really* blew up. It’s just marketing hype, designed to create the “Ooh, everyone wants this–I better buy it now” response.
Total marketing hype, designed to generate more sales.

Met Brock at a seminar once. He spoke about lead generation and how you have to target your audience. He briefly mentioned using national magazine publications as the venue. After his “sermon” I approached Brock and asked which magazines I should turn to for advertising and he looked me in the eye and told me that he could not tell me. Brock is quite a sleazy guy. He pretends to be a dummy with internet technology, but here he is recording all kinds of streaming video and audio, and building website sales systems. Hmmmm. A little dishonest if you ask me.

I joined the Pipeline Profits membership as soon as it opened and even though I tried my best to give it a chance, this was my first purchase on an IM product that was way too OVERHYPED and immensely underdelivered .
There was an extensive amount of problems with the PP membership, before I got refunded, including false money back guarantees, extended opening day membership time (1SC blewup BS), no support, tons of aggravated PP forum members voicing their dismay, early terminated accounts, PP website glitches/freezing, false promises of low coreg lead rates, extremely late product shipment, and the list goes on and on.
The videos and documented information could have been sold possibly for a a $100-$300, but the high price tag definately implores a perceived high value which never met its mark.
Even after all the BS I’ve experienced with PP, I managed to walk away with a refund and all materials saved to my HD.
I’d really like to hear from someone if they have had ANY such success from this coreg system. This is the kinda system that can really diminish your bank account fast if not done perfectly. Something wants me to believe it works if done properly, but this could be the same “something” that told me to purchase the $2000 system in the first place.

I think pipeline profits is full of crap. I seen so many big name marketers promote this thing even though it is different then what they do.
One minute they are marketing a product and then offer it for free if you join this pipeline profits ploy.
All the top name marketers were running like puppets to promote this.
Think about it, they are all connected in a tight knit group when it comes to making money.
Members of pipeline profits ran to people with big mailing list to promote this product.
We need someone who is wiling to teach us without all the bullshit.

Good blog…
I can’t vouche for the Pipeline Profits system. The videos were fairly instructive; really just #3 and #4 are useful, the rest are crap. However, I am familiar with co-registration marketing as it is something I do with the company I work with, and it is a legit method of building targeted marketing lists (whether email or direct mail).
With coregistration, the trick is that you have to know your target audience. Otherwise, you will be wasting your cash on scopeless ads. You also need to have your marketing systems in place. It doesn’t do any good to get a list of 5,000 leads if you don’t have a system in place to turn them over once they come through. And then, really most importantly, you have to be able to deliver on the conversions to really gain those customers.
Coregistration is a serious marketing campaign that is not for the light-hearted or ill-prepared.

I was very surprised in some of the marketers who were promoting this without even having tested it themselves and making money from it.

I see that Buck and Brock is promoting a new supplement millions product where they are making a million dollars a month, and they are going to teach us everything in step by step order all for 2,697 a membership. I don’t know about you guys but If I were making a mill a month would want my secret getting out!!! That’s like trading a safe for a cash regester!
