  • For those of you who are trying to work MySpace for cashola, Ruck explains in his post how discretion is a must. Ruck is an interesting character and is active across a few forums on MySpace. If MySpace traffic is your thing (and it’s becoming mine) then you could do worse than listen to his rants.
  • I’m a fan of blogging. And anything that I can find to help me make a better blog then I’m all over it. SearchEngineLand has a list of  25 Tips to Optimize Your Blog for Readers and Search Engines. Many of the comments to the post are also very helpful. I think it’s a good checklist you can use for every blog you build.
  • Looking for an alternative to Blogger and MySpace blogs? I found one that I think is pretty cool. Shoutpost.com supposedly keeps all the ads and crap off your blog. Not sure how they intend on making money but the blogs you can create on there are pretty nice. Get in there quick and you might be able to score some good domain names, i.e. name.shoutpost.com.
  • And last and certainly least, Mr. X has released his Adwords Black Book DVDs that he has been spamming everyone about. 13 DVDs for a low, low price of $997. Which will be raised when he feels like it. Not sure what he can tell you about Adwords that has not been hashed over and over before. Seems like $997 would pay for a lot of advertising. But there are some big dogs that are talking it up pretty heavy that I actually admire (Daniel Turner for one), so it may have some value. I just won’t be a buyer.

I agree with you, what more can he say about Adwords that hasn’t already been said? I bought a book called “Winning Results with Google AdWords” by Andrew Goodman which is pretty good. There’s another book from Perry Marshall called “Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords”

These are physical books you can buy at Amazon.com…they’re cheap too…you can get BOTH for less than $34 total.

Another book that I saw and will buy is “Web marketing for dummies” by Jan Zimmerman . It’s brand new and has quite a lot of useful information. Head on to Amazon.com and take a look.

As a matter of fact, I recommend to your readers that they investigate any books before they dish out hundreds or thousands of dollars. Amazon is a great place to look for tons of useful books.

Yea, that’s a great point, because for the money, ebooks are a ripoff, compared to a real book.

Fortunately, I have the funds right now and I bought the Adwords BlackBook DVD’s.

After I get them, I’ll give a full report. I am very intrigued and, perhaps, I’ll learn a grand’s worth of material — and make more with it.

    We’ll see, right?

    Wish me luck.

Sounds good Bryan. I seriously hope they are worthwhile for you.

I dont know how much more I could learn with Adwords. What I need is a piece of software that scan the Big G’s mind and create a freaking site that they would love. All this virtual slapping they are doing to the affiliate marketers is enough to make me want to eat a cyanide capsule. So I am with you on not purchasing. But I cannot help myself, X does know his stuff, and the Bitch Slap A Guru Day Video had me in tears. I wanted a little more raunchy, but it will do for me now.

I been coming here for awhile now Spork. I was in the Warrior Forum when you posted and the idea for this blog spawned. So just wanted to stop by and let you know, that your the type of person that puts motivation into others. Whether you believe or not. Keep on writing and I will keep reading– Ruck

Thanks for the encouragement Ruck. It means a lot.
BTW-What you’re doing on your blog, plus in the Spacehog forum is very helpful.

The Adwords BlackBook DVD’s are in the mail. I truly hope they’re going to be worth it.

Right now, I’m learning a lot about Adwords — if the DVD’s are over my (or the average person’s head), you’ll be the first to know.

    Waiting…

    Hey Splork,

When I was here the other day, I absolutely loved the Snap Plugin you got. I went and found it, implemented it and put in my key. However its not working like yours. Is there something I am missing ? Thanks-Ruck

Hey Ruck. I don’t think so. As long as you you put the code in front of you should be OK. When I put it on my site I noticed it took a little time for some of the sits to be found by Snap or something. You might put in a test link like Google and see if that comes up. Some of my links still don’t come up but I think that’s because Snap hasn’t index it.

Oh, it’ll be worth it Bryan. Trust me. As a Black Book Owner, I know how good he is.
I wasn’t able to afford them right now unfortunately, otherwise, I’d have bought them myself.
