Got a Thousand to Spare?

March 20th, 2007 · 7 Comments

No, I won’t be buying the X-Ray Domination course from the Rich Jerk. And no I won’t be buying the Adsense Wealth Empire course either. I’ve been getting pounded with emails to buy from this guru or that guru with all kinds of crazy bonuses thrown in. Getting 50% or more on a cool $1,000 will do that to the best of guberus.

Do I think either one of these courses will make you a wealthy Internet Marketer? Possibly. Only if you put into action what they are teaching, blah, blah, blah…See the thing is, if these “secrets” or “tactics” are so great, then why let anyone in your space? Certainly they aren’t selling these courses out of the goodness of their hearts. What is the motive for releasing such incredible secrets and software? If this program was so great then why not sell it for $20K to 50 of your JV email list buddies? You know those guys have the fat wallet and are looking for more bank. And too, the fewer people playing, the better they all are, right?

The Rich Jerk has got the coolest angle in Internet Marketing. He comes off like a badass and makes you feel like a tool because you aren’t as rich as he is. And then he makes you think he’s the greatest dude in the world because he’s going to tell you what you need to do to make bank like he does. It’s a riot. Heck I read the sales copy for X-Ray Domination and was thinking, would I rather have a set of CDs or use the money to help pay for a new mountain bike? Hey, the guy making me feel like an idiot was actually compelling.

Adsense Wealth Empire. Looks like version 3 has come out so they must have previously sold a ton of packages. 5 pro tools and more than 50 videos for a cool $1,000. I don’t know man. I can use a free builder tool called WordPress. I can outsource my link building for cheap. I can make decent content sites using articles and the 90-day plan from PLRPro, with a little effort. The testimonials, as usual, didn’t tell me if anyone was actually making money with the course, just that they were so darn excited to get to buy it.

No use in writing in and saying how great AWE is. Hey, if you made it work, it means you took action. Spending a thousand dollars will certainly help with the motivation factor. But there are plenty of folks simply creating blog sites with useful content that are doing just fine without spending this kind of money.

Anyway, I saved my money. I’m looking forward to seeing what is offered next week that promises to make me rich. It’s always makes for an interesting read.

    Another good tell-it-like-it-is post.

I wouldn’t fork out $1k for theses courses. No one is giving up their secrets till they have been exhausted/exploited and are no longer as effective as they used to be.

Solid content, good keyword research, compelling headlines/titles, proper on-page SEO, Wordpress with themed categories, and some decent link building.

There is the million dollar non-secret.

What I love is the note that comes about a week after a big launch of limited capacity which tells you:
‘Gosh, things were CRAZY here last week’ and now that the dust has settled, it turns out that some people in their haste to enroll, signed up twice and we (the genius gurus) miscounted how many slots were taken. This is good luck for you. Because if you had your wits about you and were NOT swept off your feet, here is ONE last chance for you to sneak in with all the other lucky people. But gosh, this chance won’t last. Grab this once in a lifetime opportunity fast!”

Good grief — do they really think we’re so stupid that we don’t realize they didn’t get as many people as they hoped for. But they thought it looked bad to leave their enrollment open for too long after the BIG LAUNCH (HUGE LAUNCH). So they slammed it shut, claimed all slots were filled and then sent this note out about 5 days later.

Yea, and I’ve already seen a couple clones of this program already being pimped. It won’t be long before you’ll be able to get one of those spy programs for $147 or less.

I was just on a teleseminar about modeling and NLP, and then the next day the moderators asked people to post on the forum about it. A lot of posters raved about how great it was and how they would love to have the moderators babies and sell poon on the street for them, and I was looking at these posts saying, “How did these people not fall asleep while listening to them drone on and on like I did?”

There are a bunch of sheep in IM today and unfortunately the wolves are more than happy to take their money.

    Beware

    Hi-

I’m relatively new to IM, but trying to learn what I can- I was hoping to get some feedback on RJ’s X-Ray Affiliate program- Besides the software itself, it seems that he has the final word on affiliate programs- That without his new program and training I shouldn’t even bother trying to make money as an affiliate anymore, because all of his trained “assassins” are going to go in, dominate the markets/niches, and leave nothing but crumbs for the rest of us-

As a newbie here, I find it very upsetting, like I don’t have a chance- That nobofy has a chance anymore without his program-

Is there any hope to make money with affiliate programs WITHOUT RJ’s program? ANy feedback would be helpful-

    Thanks-

Dude don’t listen to that crap. His tool and tools like it only make things easier. There is no reason that you can’t have success without buying this stuff. If you are totally committed to learning PPC, and you are a newbie, yea you probably need to grab yourself an ebook or two and teach yourself. But don’t listen to these guberus that say you have to have their tool or you’ll fail. It’s not true.

Start with this free book by Brad Callen. It can’t hurt.

Don’t forget http://www.thenewppc.com too. They’re showing you how to do it manually before selling you any tools (whatever they might be)
