Tweets From the Weeds

by Splork on August 9, 2010

I’m going to see if I can find my groove while Tweeting from the weeds. Follow if you want. I understand if you don’t. I can’t promise any goodness will come of it. I am mostly cynical and assume I will use the platform to rail against the machine. But every once in a while something magical will appear and I might just have something nice to say about it. So click the little follow button and watch as I add more useless content to the web sewers.

Fuck Twitter. I don’t have time for it. I’ll relieve you folks of one more useless Twithead to follow. It was a bad idea. I do better with long rambling whines.

Saw your tweet. Who do you use for the articles? How much? What niches? Just kidding.

What’s the purpose? I have never understood that. I know you are trying something new but what is your thinking on how it could possibly benefit you?

Splork August 9, 2010 at 10:33 am

Seth – It serves no purpose. Like most things in the web sewers it’s a waste of time. But sometimes there are things that I feel like mentioning without going through the exercise of blogging. We’ll see if it’s worthwhile or if I have the interest in keeping it up.

KC – I basically threw a virtual dart at the Warrior forum. It cost me $35 for 10 articles. I’m expecting utter crap. I’ll keep hiring folks until I get a few that are worth using. It was for one of the AJPacks.

If your looking to outsource i read on one of the keyword academy’s posts about textbroker.com court said he uses them i think about the same price, never tried them myself. personally thinking of hiring someone from the philippines full time to see how that goes the cost per article would be way cheaper i should think.

Splork August 9, 2010 at 5:41 pm

Yup, textbroker is an alternative. 24 hours later I haven’t heard from the joker I sent my cash to so we’ll see. I thought about the full-time Filipino option but decided against pursuing that for now. I may go ahead and send textbroker some work tonight. I did a bunch of keyword research and need the articles.

LOL. That didn’t last long. I sorta told you.

That is hilarious. These social mediums are tempting. As popular as they are I have a hard time reminding myself of what Griz says. The traffic does not convert.

I didn’t want to suggest these guys until I heard from you first, but I may try Fiverr. Some have good feedback.

I am no use to the web sewer in 140 words. My thought process doesn’t work that way. I can write a 1000 word post as fast as I can type it. But if confined to 140 words I sit here and try to figure out how to make it worthwhile. Some would argue that the 1000 words aren’t worthwhile but I have a little more room to maneuver to make at least a few of the word assembly interesting.

I have too many web building activities going on to service Twitter. And I still haven’t gotten any word on my fucking articles.

If you find that Lost Ball is broken one day be assured that it is because I have decided to change the theme and screwed things royally. It happens. I hate this current theme but am too lazy/busy to change it.

KC August 10, 2010 at 2:34 pm

Don’t change it. Although I would love to know what kind of ball that is in the weeds. It looks like a funky colored bowling ball or something out of Merlin’s workshop.

Thank god you didn’t totally fall into twitdom. Whew, that was close. I so much more prefer the long rambling whines.
