This is the no BS list of tools that I use. Yes, full of juicy affiliate links. I use all of these tools. I recommend each. They all do what they say they will. They are all helpful to me when I’m building blogs and static sites. I have tried many tools over the last few years. These are the only ones I did not ask for a refund or have stopped using. (updated Aug 30, 2009)
Nichebot – I’m not using this program as much as I did. I use Google and Traffic Travis for the majority of my keyword research and analysis.
PLRPro – The only PLR service I use. Plenty of monthly content. Plenty of extras for your money. I pay monthly for this service.
StoreStacker – My go to program for building niche stores. Easy to set up and extremely comprehensive with Ebay, Amazon, Clickbank and Overstock modules. Blogprofitz is its easier to use cousin. Very nice.
Wordpress Affiliate Pro – One of the goodies I got for being a member of PLRPro, but when I set up a blog I use this tool to create affiliate links.
Article Marketing Automation – A perk for being a member of PLRPro. Create blogs for articles or distribute articles to blogs in the network. Win-win either way. Money making opportunity galore. If you aren’t a member of PLRPro, you’ll pay monthly.
Link Luv Post Builder – Like Utility Poster above but cheaper. I use both but if I had to choose between the two I’d be happy with Link Luv.
Blog Content Wizard – Create blog content in seconds.
Traffic Travis – Easy to dismiss free keyword tool. I use it now in place of Keyword Elite, SEO Elite and Nichebot.
The Keyword Academy – Fantastic membership for learning to build niche sites and how to do keyword research. I stay a member for the blog article directories.
Bookmarking Demon – Version 4 finally released and it’s a monster. I use this to bookmark across 100 bookmarking, pligg and scuttle sites.
XSite Pro – I still build plenty of static sites. I realize everyone prefers WordPress but I like to be diversified. I believe you get a lot for your money with this tool. I can build sites very quickly by importing article packs from PLRPro.
Keyword Elite – I stopped using KE1 long ago and have no intention of upgrading to KE2.
Utility Poster and Video Utility Poster – No longer using these tools. Probably should.
Orwell Pro - This program is great when it works. Right now (Aug 2009), it’s a piece of shit.
SEO Elite – I use Nichebot and Traffic Travis instead of this tool anymore.
RSS to Blog 4 – Haven’t used this in 6 months. Probably should as it’s still an excellent program but it’s just a hassle anymore. Wish an upgrade would be forthcoming.
Wordpress Datafeed Import – The program still works and for older sites I still use it with Shareasale datafeeds. But upgrades from Teli are apparently not forthcoming. Just another program that is dying an inglorious death.
How do I currently use these tools? Let’s say I get an article pack from PLRPro. I take the keywords and do research with them at Google. I then see what it will take to rank well with the keywords with Traffic Travis. I build a blog and use a couple of re-written articles as an initial post. I take a couple of other articles and distribute them via Article Marketing Automation. I then add a folder or subdomain to build a StoreStacker store.
The most important tool? Google Keywords. I can do all my keyword research in there. I now use Traffic Travis to determine if I can compete with various keywords.
Backlinks are handled with AMA, TKA, BMD and BCD. Throw in a few links from my modest blog farm and Ezine Articles.
As it is my site building is very simple. Keyword research. Write or re-write an article. Post to a blog, website or Hubpage. Get backlinks. Move on to the next.
