Testing XSite Pro 2.5 Beta

by Splork on August 27, 2010

I am testing the goodness that is XSP 2.5 Beta. For limp mustaches that build money traps with WordPress, I understand your bewilderment at the sewer magic.  I sit along the banks of the web sewers sampling cheese and wine while you gag on the sludge of core updates, plugin downloads and theme modifications. I twirl the ends of my mustache with your tears.

This post would make a great ‘testimonial’ on XSite Pro sales page.

Interested to know how you like XSite Pro 2.5 , what’s new with it and if there will be a price change.

Ditto. Thanks to you. I hate WP.

I was just pondering on what to do… xsp, wp multisite, big moxie… as I’ve read XSP makes templates with tables… is this true? How about 2.5?

@HZ – I don’t know if it will be a “free upgrade”. I assume not as they don’t work that way, Much like other real software on the marketplace, besides IM crap, they will make you pay for the pleasure of new goodies. I always do the upgrade. I’ll post more what’s new later.

@KC – thanks for reading KC

@bigK – anything WP can do, XSP can pretty much do. You can silo your site and make it as big as you care to. Want to schedule new content? You can do that too. Etc. I’m not sure what you mean about templates and tables.

vs. pure css template

Tables as that the templates are not made using just css, but table HTML tags. Hm… actually, can you use your own custom template with XSP? Is that hard?

I own xsitepro and have been participating in the beta testing of the upgrade.

I was advised by the company that this upgrade is free for existing xsitepro users.

hey Splork, I like the latest posts. I like your attitude about stuff. Keep it up.

@bigK – I don’t think CSS and all that jazz is doable like you would want in XSP. It’s definitely not Dreamweaver. I don’t care about design but I know many folks do. I stay within the confines 0f the templates within XSP. A color tweak here or a background there. Maybe a column size adjustment. I use XSite Headers for my headers and start adding content. If the site gets too big I silo the thing. But most of my sites are 20 pages or so. Not a big deal but big enough for Google to know there is some meat to the site and hopefully won’t go deleting my Adsense account.

@Tom – that is good news. I was hopeful but not expecting it.

@Mark – thanks for reading mark
