I opened up my email yesterday and saw the heading:
Christopher, [SHOCKER] The creator of DigiBizPro kills himself …
My first thought was holy shit. That’s awful. So I read down and Jack Humphrey is pitching some mothereffing IM product.
The creator of DigiBizPro practically KILLED himself last night to personally make sure things were back up. Yes, this guy hasn’t had sleep for the last 38 hours just from helping everyone.
Really? You are going to jerk around people’s emotions to get a sale? So this is the depths you will sink to get people to read an effing spam email?
I don’t offend easily. I’m not crazy about political correctness. But I have a thing about civility. Clearly we continue our spiral into the gutter. Pathetic man. Truly pathetic.

I’m glad you brought this up. It’s been bothering me for a while. People have sunk to a new low where they have to shock you with something like death in order to get your attention.
I just read the latest post on the makemoneyonlinewithseo website (mr hubpages) and he goes on to talk about how he deceives people into buying products specifically related to cancer in order to collect a commission. I know some people don’t have a conscience, but no amount of money is worth giving someone false hope like that.
I could go down to the local elementary school and take the lunch money from 3rd graders, but what satisfaction would I have?
I’d much rather create something of value and earn money the right way.
Great post!

Yea, I think (hope) Ben is over-stating his immorality just a bit though. I doubt he’s willingly selling immoral goods and services to those that are in need. If he is, well, it’s not what I would do for a buck. Then again he says he’s a flat out liar so there is that. Perhaps he is promoting, without conscious, goods and services that are already created. For instance, I have a weight loss site that has Adsense ads. I have no idea if the ads are legit or not. And I’m not going through each one to determine if they are valid any more than Google is going to. Personal responsibility has to be used at some point.
Anyway, there is a lot of murk, but I can tell you right now I would not be offering anyone false hope for a cancer cure. There are a lot of people desperate for help. Selling them some shit product is not the right thing to do. Karma is a bitch and all.

I’m really enjoying the blog – great internet marketing information with no skeeve factor.
Which brings me to this post… I received the same email and it’s totally disgusting. I realize there’s a lot of hype in IM but come on!
I unsubscribed from Jack’s list and won’t ever buy anything from him again.
Wishing you much success!
Splork // Oct 30, 2009 at 3:12 pm
Thanks for reading Merlyn.

hit the spam button, delete and unsubscribe — that was my action.

http://www.LostBallInHighWeeds.com helps keep me balanced from all the IM junk floating around. That’s why I count myself one of the 8 lucky subscribers.
Splork // Oct 30, 2009 at 10:37 pm
That’s a nice website you got there Mark. Thanks for reading.
Donk // Oct 31, 2009 at 12:22 am
Yeap that one got an ‘unsubscribe” from me as well.
What a scum bag.
Denise // Oct 31, 2009 at 10:05 am
This is just crap! I deleted Jack Humphrey quite a while back and many others. It is nice to keep updated as to what is going on in the IM world, but the spammy sales pitchen is out of control!

Humphrey issues an apology to his list:
Denise // Oct 31, 2009 at 11:58 pm
Damn, that was real decent of Mr Humphrey to send an apology letter out like that. There must of been a lot of unsubscribe come across his desk and really caught his attention. This is really stand up for him.
Oh by the way!
I just spent the evening with my daughter and her husband and my son-in-law is going to be doing the National Ultra Endurance Race Series next year. I might be getting close to your neck of the woods if I tag along. The nanny gets free travel and all expenses paid for.
Plus this coming weekend is the Iceman Cometh Challenge Bicycle Race. I’ll be there for support. If you happen to be there maybe I could give you a little cheering section.

The NUERS is a beast. I can ride 100+ miles on the road. Doing that off road is a whole different ride even if you are part of a team. Good for him for giving it a go.
Thanks for the offer but as much as I’d like to race the Iceman my riding season tends to end late Sept. It would kill me to drive up to Michgan and extend more training/riding. As I put more age on this meat suit I find that I have to break for a few months during the colder months to get recharged and motivated for more riding around late March. I cross into other activities in late fall/winter.

It’s truly pathetic and makes fun of those that have committed suicide. I’ve unsubscribed from his lists.
Frank // Nov 2, 2009 at 11:31 pm
Enough already. I was on his blogsuccess list and that thing is just one “This is will change your life!” product flogging after another…and another. Buy, buy, buy. Zero content.
And now, Jack will “personally scan every single piece of mail” that goes out with his name on it. How thoughtful. Uh, no thanks.
Unsubscribed.

I totally agree Splork, I was really worried when I read that subject line and couldn’t believe it was a promo. I was worried as I know the digibiz guys. I really doubt that email would have converted to sales either as people don’t like being ‘tricked’ into opening emails.
I prefer to just tell them what is in the email in the subject line, that way interested people open it, disinterested people can skip it, and people aren’t disappointed when they read the email as it contains exactly what the subject line says.
Benko // Nov 10, 2009 at 6:58 am
I doubt there is anymore truth in that apology than there was in the original email.
Lets get real, as if this guy doesnt read what he is sending out to people?
Guru Crusher // Nov 12, 2009 at 10:38 am
Ya this one threw me for a loop too….
It’s funny, when I read it I couldn’t believe it either. Then, like a shriek in the night…
“..almost kills himself…”
Oh. Now I’m not worried. Thanks anyways!
Jay | Wealthy Affiliate Insider // Nov 12, 2009 at 7:29 pm
I got that too, and I had the same reaction.
But I’m also not on that list anymore. Can’t remember who sent it though.
Rob Sellen // Nov 12, 2009 at 7:54 pm
That is low, glad to have got off all the junk list over the last couple of years, clearing my inbox of all that crap was a great thing… too much crap like that fogs the mind and leads you on a path to nowhere.
If he is telling the truth about his nephew, it makes it all the worse he sent it out in the first place, after all he said… it IS his responsibility …and seeing how these “gurus” and such keep saying their list IS the most important thing, I can’t think of any other part of the business to check more importantly.
Lame.
Getting off these list is one of the most liberating things you will do if you are in this line of work.
As I am no longer on them I didn’t see this, but thanks to splork I am reminded why I got off the damn things..
Thanks!
Rob
