The Google Shadow looms over the email landscape today. Another 417 page salesletter was dropped on the web for PPC glory. “Making money with this thing is as easy as falling off a log”, says the salespitch. The marketer for such gems as Affiliate X and Google Assassin has entered the monthly fee arena. For $67/month you can learn from a guy making enough money each day to bail out the banks all by his lonesome. Why, “making money from Adwords has never been so darn easy”.
I don’t know if this flotsam is for real. I won’t be spending my money on yet a-freaking-nother PPC “system”. Wait 6 months and they will bust out another one. Maybe they’ll call it Google Ninja X. Maybe it will be a system that contacts Google directly and have them send you money without having to do anything.
I always get suspicious of shit like this when the gurus are blasting out the emails with bonuses. They desperately want in on the action because monthly residuals are sooo juicy. They know nothing about the product. They don’t have time to try it out because they are too busy promoting IM products. They simply want to get a piece of the very lucrative pie.
For all you lemmings that follow these guys around, save your comments. No, I have not tried the program. No, I have no intention of doing so. I hope you all become rich, though I wonder what happened to the previous Google X, Assassin, DJK, systems. Not working anymore? If not, does that not say something about these systems? If they do, then why do you need another system if you are making the 100K a month those systems makes their owners?
The kicker for me is that this is a system that is supposed to circumvent the “rules” Google imposes on PPC on their system. Yet they release it to the public. Would Google not be curious?
In fact, his deep, dark tactics have never been discovered by Google, any affiliate network or any other advertising revenue company. He has never been slapped or experienced any such problems whatsoever.
Well looks like the secret tactics are about to be discovered by damn near anybody. Good move publishing this to the Web.

LMAO But its a great post I must admit.
All I can say is that for those still spinning their wheels and going no where, hoping from one “great offer” to the next and never settling with one and fully exploring it should learn from the above post.
I bought all manner of magic formulas etc though I have a feeling that all people do it when starting out and they get a buzz from that $ promising new tool and once the buzz wears off, they buy the next to get the high again.
It may take one years to realise they actually have all they need already minus how to combat procrastination and taking action
I better get some work done now
William
Its quite comical too actaully – must be the bluntness
They’ve really been flogging these ‘secret’ PPC systems hard for about the past year or so. I don’t see how it’s any different from the moldy old PLR doc on the topic I already have on my hard drive except maybe Google has gotten a lot more strict and continues to do so as people who read these eBooks try to game the system more and more.
If I believed in conspiracies I’d say Google was behind them. After all, who profits when some noob flushes away a few grand on a badly run campaign.
I’ve been cleaning out my office today and man, is it painful. I’m unearthing boatloads of “ancient” “super ninja ppc crapbank adsense project xyz” guides that I purchased over the years. I’ve been carefully looking over each ebook that I bothered to print out to see if it goes in the dead file or not.
If there’s even one useful technique in it – a technique or tip or resource that still works – I’m keeping it. Otherwise, it goes in the trash.
So far I’ve gone through about 20 such books that at one point between 2007 to the present were the hottest new thing.
I’m only going to keep two of them. And the two I’m keeping are more about how to THINK and write and compose copy – getting into the mindset of the buyer – and not technical manuals at all.
I’m finding that it’s the guides that help you reason your way through the maze of online marketing that hold their value – and everything else it pretty much useless a week or two after it’s been released because everybody abuses the s**t out of the technique or the software.
Dan
I won´t sign up to their programs, I won´t read their emails, i refuse even open them.
The truth is that I already opted out from their email lists many times anyway after some time I am slowly starting to get these emails, over and over again.
I don´t know if this is intentional or just some issue of aweber.
As for PPC, it truly works, though not for me selling $7.50 brake caliper paints LOL.
I am quite sure this will result in thousands of unified acai berry ads and landing pages, nothing more…
I like your way of denounciation.
Ha! It’s true: What happened to the DJK and google X and all the other $10000000000 a month systems? lol
Hey Splork,
Lemmings is the exact word to describe what is going on with these so called Gurus and their next great way to make a million dollars sitting on your couch in your underwear.
Actually, maybe cult would be a better description. These guys are marketed as having the answers but there is always some secret that only the High Priests know and they will share it for a hefty tithe (continuity program). The fact is, most people trying to make money online don’t really have a clue and they are grasping at anything that sounds “too good to be true.” (Because it is!)
They need to read you and a few others who are willing to share actual knowledge about how the system works not for the money but for the “love of the game.”
You guys are the true Gurus.
Thanks
Splork I love your style!
Best

William – It took a few bad decisions but I finally figured out that offers that are too good to be true, just are dammit. Thanks for reading.
Frank – Interesting possibility but doesn’t Google promise not to do harm? Yea right, as long as they can still increase shareholder value.
Dan – Me too. I’ve got a folder titled “pdf” that I’ve been dropping all these different reports I’ve collected in. After Shadow came roaring out I went and reminded myself why I shouldn’t be buying anything with a quick perusal of previous lard I’ve purchased or collected.
SeeYouGuys – Yea I’ve done a few purges. But I realized that I got a lot of mileage from reading them. Not from purchasing but for jogging my feeble mind into having something to post on Lost Ball.
superblo – Exactly. Would love to know the answer.
Agrande – Thanks but I am no guru. I’m no different than any anybody else out there working hard to try to make a buck in this world. Many of you are probably more successful that I am. We all pretty much know what we need to do. It’s those of us that work hard and can remain motivated and focused that do well. Nothing guru-esque about that.
klik – Thanks for reading
It’s the same old question: “Why would you share a winning system and let everyone know about it and then dilute this system, and eventually stop working?” Maybe because it doesnt work anymore (if it did work at all). Sure, maybe a few thousand people will order it at $67 per month and suck out 100K per month for these people for a few months or more. When I read that sales letter there’s some red flags. The sales letter sure sounds good and is enticing. I bet the actual ebook is way shorter than that sales copy. Heck, if he sold it for a one-time fee of $97 I probably would have bought it to see what its all about — and if I wasnt happy just ask for a refund. There’s so many systems out there, I just wonder what’s the best IM tactic to making money for someone starting out.
The #1 way to fail at affiliate marketing is to waste your money on those shitty ebooks and “systems”. Great post.
I bought it for giggles, mainly I’m getting into ppc a lot more lately and I’ll see what I can get from it.
No expectations as of yet and I certainly didnt buy it for the sales pitch.
We’ll see how it sums up.
Been there, done that, bought the you-know-what.
I read and try to practise what I get from you, Griz, Court, Vic and Frank Carr. But a lot of money went down the drain before I saw the light.
Keep writing.
The early books from Chris were not bad – there were tips in there which could be put to use in above-board PPC campaigns.
But Chris got greedy (as the wealthy almost always do) and now he’s selling his letters and not product. I mean how many ways can you repackage the same formulas? Many, many ways, it appears.
The wretch can certainly write salescopy though. It’s all based on the hail-fellow-well-met camaraderie. You too can be part of the inside group for just a few dollars. But if you look at a couple of the letters side-by-side, you’ll see that they are nearly identical.
OK – I will admit to being the proud owner of both Aff Project X and DJK. And in fact, both of these weren’t bad. They weren’t new, or original perhaps but they were a decent enough collection of info. There is one thing I learned from DJK which still makes me a lot of money every month – not millions but a really nice chunk of dough.
However, since DJK came out – anything subsequently launched or endorsed by that team has pretty much been a byword for awful crap. Google Shadow likewise.
Nice post guy – love the blog.
