PLR Pro Backdoor Access - Mucho Annoying Emails

August 8th, 2008 · 5 Comments

I’m a member of PLRPro. From day one. I look forward to the new service being rolled out in October or whenever. Sounds like some good tools and I’m glad I won’t have to pay $197 for the privilege. That said, I’m getting annoyed at the emails I’m getting today for a limited time and number “backdoor” access to the site. If everyone is going through the backdoor is it truly exclusive? This is the kind of guru promotion bullshit that drives me insane. Well, it doesn’t really drive me insane. It’s just annoying.

Anyway, the only thing making it a backdoor is the Benwells, the Callens, among many others are given first crack at pimping their massive email list. I get that it’s a quick ticket ride to fill up the slots that have been vacated at PLRPro. They probably need to keep the place full to fund the improvements. I get it. I just don’t like Internet Marketing. The bullshit email offers. It would be great if someone would simply say “Marc from PLRPro wanted me to email my massive email list and see if any of you wanted to join up since a few extra slots opened up. They are giving you 72 hours (I don’t know why) to decide if you want to spend $97. On October 1st the doors open again for $197. I’m a paying member and believe it’s a good deal.”

But no, guberus like to promote, and consumers only respond to, faux exclusivity deals. The jaded like me and the 11 readers here know it’s all bullshit. But for newbies it helps scratch their itchy trigger finger for quick purchases. I don’t think for a minute that if the 67 slots or whatever is not filled in 72 hours that a further email wouldn’t be sent out saying, “Last chance. 24 hour extension. 13 slots left.”

IM promotions just makes me cranky. That’s all. Hey if you’re not a member check your spam folder and see if the new features of PLRPro are to your liking. I know I won’t be vacating my slot. I’m definitely and absolutely not slamming PLRPro. The service and owners are the best. Just the IM of this and every other service and product. It’s what I do.

    Hi Splork,

Just wondering about the PLR pro service. Do you use the articles as is or typically rewrite articles in full. Also, are you satisfied with the quality of niches offered per month?

    Thanks .

I ended up leaving PLR Pro not because I dont like the service only because I just want the wait and see approach. I havent got any emails about a backdoor entrance but is that really fair to the people who rushed to sign up thinking they wouldnt get in. Thats sad!! I remember getting all the emails about the Review Crusher and I’ll admit I signed up because when I got the the page it said I had 36 minutes to sign up. Days later I noticed that everytime I went to the page it always starts off with 36minutes then counts down. That the kind of markenting I dont like. So I quickly asked for a refund but its just another tool that some marketers use and its really the pushy car salesman approach If the membership closes then stand by your word. Dont put some fancy count down script on your site or allow people to go in the backdoor. It isnt fair to the people who thought they wer in an exclusive group

I try to rewrite all PLR which is a huge and utter pain in the ass. I’m hopeful their rewriting service will be up to par. The quality is…pretty good. You get what you pay for.

I don’t think for a minute that any body who surfs your site and comes across PLR is going to take the time to read that crap. It’s simply bait to get search engines to index your site. You can spot most PLR on most sites. I don’t confuse what I use it for. For sites that I care about, PLR is not used. For sites where I’m trying to get people to leave via an advertisement, I’ll use PLR. And I’m pretty half ass about the rewrite anymore. It just isn’t worth the time. They give you 11 niches a month. I don’t care one bit about 95% of the niches they provide. But the niches might be money makers so I do rudimentary changes and stick the articles in RSS2B4 and post them with videos, photos and “link luv ” to Blogger. Sometimes I’ll build out an XSP site if I have slightly more interest. I liberally use subdomains and do fine. Sometimes I’ll buy a domain and use Wordpress. I’ll use them on Squidoo to.

The content and backlinks are the main part. The delivery system means nothing unless you expect to sell then site.

It’s a long winded way of saying that I do re-write the articles half-assed. The quality of the articles is probably better than most services that provide you with 440 articles a month. I don’t know of anyone who uses all the content each month. I have no interest in most of the niches but I recognize that surfers might so I build out a site in the hopes that the keywords chosen are good, that I can get the site indexed, get backlinks and help visitors leave my site post-haste to buy some shit.

    Hey Splork.

Love your post as per usual you bring your love for the IM industry in full swing :P

Did you get those “only 24 hours left” emails?

My bet is no, because as you know we do what we say & we do not mess with that.

There were limited spots open, it was a 72 hour opening & when they were full… That was it.

I believe it actually filled out before the 72 hours was up so we had to turn back a few people.

Matt, Brad & Rob were unable to email when we shut so I reserved them exclusive access to email this month. At a cost though.

We did increase the membership price to hold true to ourselves & to keep it fair to everyone involved.

Sorry that you feel this way mate, what you have said is true in some cases (aka, I’m a friend of Marcs so I’m emailing my big ass list) but in effect they would not have done it if it were not a quality service.

& I would not have let them email if they had not reserved rights before we shut.

Thanks for the kudos comments at the bottom, I know you dont mean anything towards us from this post :)

Yea, I am and have been from the first day, a fan of PLRPro. No slight there. I’m just not a fan of Internet Marketing. It makes me cranky to get hyped up emails. I keep getting Benwell’s emails just for the entertainment. I don’t know him at all but I would be genuinely surprised to hear that he did anything more than email his {massive} list. I wonder how many PLRPro niche sites he’s actually operating. Does he walk the talk or is he simply talking to get people to buy. He may in fact be the hardest working, nicest and most honest marketer around with hundreds of PLRPro article sites raking in hundreds of dollars an hour. All I know is from the multiple emails I get a week from him promoting shit. I couldn’t do that. As a result I’ll never be a super-guberu with a Porshe working in my PJ’s either. Sorry to pound your mate, but that is the shit that I think about when these guys are pimping their crap to me. You gotta get the word out about PLRPro. May as well use the best with the most. I just like making fun of the process.
