Savage violence, unreasoning strength, as in We hope that reason will triumph over brute force. Although this expression is also used literally to mean exceptional physical power, the figurative sense reflects the origin for brute, which comes from Latin brutus, for “heavy, stupid, unreasoning.” - Definition of Brute Force
Pete’s WSO’s has finally disgorged the culmination of all the absolute junk programs they have released over the last year in one cool package called Brute Force SEO. “Heavy, stupid and unreasoning” would be a great tagline for his products. I have stupidly bought many of his programs. Extreme Google Pages Bomber, Extreme Live Blog Article Automator, RSS SEO Explosion, GEO Authority Link Explosion and Mass Yahoo Blog 360 Article Generator. They are crap. Incredibly I also bought Brain Storm Generator about the exact time it stopped working.
I refuse to waste any more money with this dude’s programs. If past quality is indicative of the present, then I would suggest you leave those emails pimping this shit in the spam folder and not drag them out to tempt you. All those programs that are in Brute Force SEO were stand alone programs before. They didn’t work then and I have no reason they will work in a monthly membership package. I don’t care how many Master and PhD programmers are working on it. A hellavu lot of Master’s degree and PhD guys worked on Windows ME and it was utter shit too.
He makes a big deal about spamming the first three pages of Google listings with “Brute Force SEO”. It is pretty spectacular. Until Google takes notice and starts wondering WTF is going on. I can’t decide if it’s a good thing or not. I mean, if he did the same thing with a topic that mattered, say “Tour de France”, and for 3 pages all I got was the same basic listing to go to one page, as a web surfer I’d be pretty pissed. No one wants to wade through three pages of listings only to be given the same information at every webpage. It’s stupid. It doesn’t bring value and sooner or later Google will take notice. Honestly I think the idea behind it is fine. If the programs worked it would be great to have additional backlinks to your sites. We all strive to have a few links show up in the listings. But this is greedy.
Stuff like this always get overused and tired. It’s typical spammer mentality. Keep throwing in matches until the house burns down.

Great post splork, you’re absolutely right. This guy thinks too small. However, in the other hand, with the latest strange google dances, i really don’t know what to think.

Yeah, I have been reading reviews that this is junk…half of the stuff that is promised doesn’t even work (sound familiar doesn’t it?). I bought one of Peter’s BS products earlier on…it didn’t work and since then I have pretty much washed my hands of anything that he has made.
I didn’t get sucked in on this supposed brute force SEO marketing..

I tried Pete’s BadAssRSS and though the software worked fine I found issues with it that from the first hour of the trial period had me considering cancelling.
First of all, the hoops I had to jump through just to get my download link were ridiculous. First I had to confirm my ’subscription’ to his list. I absolutely cannot stand being told AFTER I’ve purchased a product that in order to receive the product I have to accept the developers emails.
So AFTER the paypal email, and AFTER the confirmation email, I get an email with a download link.
I think that all is well, and I download the software. Only when I try to run the application, the icon for the software doesn’t open the program.
I read the ‘read me’ file several times, and followed the directions to create a new directory and install to there because certain files will not work unless they are in the same folder as the other files. So I extracted them all to ONE file… however… the program continually extracted the one file separately from the other files and after a lot of trial and error (and not nearly a fast enough response time from ’support’) I attempted to drag and drop the ‘icon’ for the program itself into the folder that the .dll files had extracted to, and behold that worked.
Finally, I attempted to open the program, and ANOTHER HOOP TO JUMP THROUGH, I need some kind of ‘key.’
I go read the ‘read me’ file again and it says that the ‘code’ will be emailed to me and will come from blahblahblah@blahblahwhatever.com. Well, I have no email from that address (and YES I CHECKED THE SPAM FOLDERS!)
So I go to the paypal confirmation email and try all the different product numbers, id numbers, etc that are in there. Nope.
I try the confirmation email of my confirmation email, nope, nothing in there either.
I email the address where paypal said I paid, the addrees that the email with the code was supposed to have come from and sent a PM to Pete on the WF.
After several hours, I did get a response with the proper code which did in fact work fine.
A friend of mine was using SENuke, which is supposed to be the same thing as BruteForceSEO and the same price. But a friend of hers convinced her to go with BruteForceSEO, and I talked with her about it today. I asked her if she had to jump through all the hoops as I did and her response “oh yeah”.. and her other complaint was that, once again, his directions SUCKED.
She does say that the software works fine, but that it’s a pain in the ass to deal with and she thinks she’s going to end up going back to SENuke.
I like Peter Drew well enough. Seems like he’s a good guy and wants to develop tools that actually help and he does have a good ’software program’ what he’s lacking in is ‘customer service.’ Making the client who has already paid jump through hoops and then have to second guess instructions because yours suck and you have no real support team, is just a bad way to do business. I would like to see Pete thrive with this system, but he does need to get his proverbial shit together where his support and directions are concerned.

His direction has always sucked. He has a real hard time communicating with his users. I’ve never been able to figure out any of his shit.

Funny, she went from SENuke to BruteForceSEO. I went from BruteForceSEO to SENuke. While SENuke does have it’s little quirks it worked for me when BruteForceSEO didn’t.
Unless she was having problems with SENuke I don’t know why she would want to switch. They are almost the same.
My other experience was also the opposite from yours in that I got the software and got my key and got it running just fine, but then why I tried to do any project it just didn’t work.
I recommended it to my small list because since this was such a big deal I thought he would have learned from his past mistakes and that it would be useful to them (I’ve done what the software does by hand and the results were pretty good but it takes a long time), like being more clear this time around in his instructions (which I think he was a bit) and figure out why so many people have trouble getting the software to work and getting it the best it could be before releasing it, but it doesn’t seem to have worked that way.
It does work for a lot of people even if it doesn’t work for an equal number of people so I hope that anyone that got it through me actually is able to make it work because after I saw it was the same old thing I was embarrassed as hell that I had recommended it to them (It was only 6 people anyway).
Well, if I never get my commissions I’ll know 6 more people couldn’t use it.
Pete has some good ideas I think, and I may buy his reports even though I sometimes have to struggle to understand what he is getting at but he has to at least deal with the software situation, but then again who knows, maybe his stuff works well enough for enough people that it’s good enough for him and not worth bothering with.
I do wish SENuke had a couple of things BruteForceSEO has, but SENuke also has a lot that BruteForceSEO doesn’t so it sort of balances out.
Donk // Oct 20, 2008 at 2:21 pm
I have been following the SENuke forum a bit. It sounds like that software is buggy as hell?
Tommy // Oct 21, 2008 at 5:12 pm
No, not really. Yea there are quirks but in my experience it works loads better (for me) than BruteForceSEO. The last update was kind of major (4.11) and it crashes on me so for now I’m still using 3.33 and it’s fine.
I Won't Buy It Either // Oct 28, 2008 at 6:40 am
Yep, I wouldn’t buy this either. And why oh why do people rave about Pete on certain forums? I bought his bad ass affiliate report and recently followed up on the links in it. Guess what? Several of the urls appeared to be banned by their host. Why the hell would anyone buy his stuff? Crap.

Oh yeah, and a big thanks goes out to Pete for allowing ?? 1,500 of us to donate a $1 to get in the ever exciting pre launch phase of BruteForceSeo. Glad we could help you make rent this month. I can’t believe I paid to get on his email list.
David // Oct 31, 2008 at 9:53 pm
He is a smart marketing man. His bad ass affiliate dominator guide/pdf that he released was probably done after he realized google was changing their game and if you spam so many links etc to one or a few sites google knows you are only messing up the search results and they ban you. I tried using his tactics and that is what happened to a few of my sites. His software I tested also had problems or at the very least was just so bloody un-user friendly it wasn’t funny. He knows what he is doing and banking big time.

Well, I have had BF SEO for a couple of months now. So far the only thing of mine that has shown up on the first and second pages of google were some articles I submitted to Ezinearticles.com. And I did not need his software to do that. I will admit that pete has worked out a lot of the bugs that were there initially, however unless I see a substantial improvement in my sight rankings I too will be a past customer…

customer service SUCKS big time, don’t even try the $1 trial… too complicated to get registered and waste too much time going thru too many hoops–the guy is arrogant and snotty… customer service stinks or is run my 8th graders…. some parts of program are still not working…
