I Bought Confessions of a Lazy Super-Affiliate

November 12th, 2007 · 4 Comments

Confessions of a Lazy Super-Affiliate is the latest in a long line of ebooks that deal with selling affiliate products. Not exactly inspiring is it? I didn’t think so either. One of the only newsletters I still get is from Allan Gardyne and he was pimping the ebook to his subscribers in the latest issue. I still think Gardyne is on the level most of the time, only pimping what he thinks could be helpful to the faithful.

The first thing that struck me was the unassuming manner in which the creator, Chris Rempel, delivers his salespage. He decided to go with something called “not insulting your intelligence”. This is a technique that I haven’t seen in modern day Internet marketing. Okay granted, maybe his ‘aw shucks’ good natured delivery is simply a sales gimmick in itself, but I have chosen to believe that he’s as sick of the over-hype machines as we are. The sales copy was relatively refreshing for what it was.

You know, there are two very different (and maybe confusing) schools of thought in Internet marketing. 1) Go after the super-niche, long tail keywords with little competition, or 2) go after what brings in traffic despite the competition. Rempel goes after what is most popular, shows you how he finds a product and also how to find the traffic despite the competition.

Confessions of a Lazy Super-Affiliate is a 62-page blueprint of what the author does to make money selling affiliate products. It costs $29. I found the price to be reasonable given the information provided. I didn’t really think the methods, secrets, whatever you want to call them, were all that revolutionary. You may know about all the tactics in the book. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean you know how to put them all together and use them to make money. Apparently this guy has found a blueprint for success and he is sharing them with this ebook. I like step-by-step. It may or may not work for you, but personally, at the very least, I am always interested in someone’s success. Especially if they aren’t gouging you for the privilege at $47 or $97 a pop.

You may wonder why I buy shit like this. Well, sometimes I need to believe. Sometimes I need a little motivation that buying something new will give me. I don’t want to completely shut myself off from learning something simply because of my distaste of IM marketing. $29 is not that much to pay. Anyway, I’ve found that I like the report. All that is left is putting into motion what the blueprint says to do. Like the dude says at the end of the book:

I’ve laid everything out on a silver platter, and yet, the sad fact of the matter is that a large number of
people who read this book won’t do a damn thing about it.

How true.

Spot on. I liked Chris’ report as well and he actually introduces a promotional technique I hadn’t heard of before (the software thingy). He comes across as very genuine and believable. His methods are very much down to earth and the ebook is refreshingly hype-free.

I purchased the book also and, as you said, although it’s not earth-shattering material, it is nicely written and I learned some things. That, to me, was worth the money.

Thanks for sharing this review. I really think Chris Rempel does a great job with Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate. It’s not so much what he teaches (the methods) as the HOW and the WHY — why you need to do things in a certain way to leverage your online efforts for maximum profits. It’s about not wasting time doing things that are irrelevant and just cutting to the chase - doing the things that will bring you serious money for the long-term.

His methods have helped me earn some really nice money from the first sites I’ve created using his techniques, so this guy is the real deal.
I’d love for you to check out my own review and see what you think:
