jeff if you cant stand the emails, you can list his email as junk. I did that as I shared your same feelings abt the incessant emails from him. The junk filter must have done a good job, I havent seen his emails since.

Like splork, I too bought the IAT1 and wud have asked for refund if it was allowed. In fact I paid $297 for the stuff, that's right that's the premium edition. I tot it shud costs $40 to $50 at most.

Till then I was sucker for the latest hype, but with that my turning point for reading and purchasing Guberu's overpriced and overhyped stuff was settled. Now I dun read emails like that anymore and I did not buy anything else afterwards. Splork commentaries and rantings have made me more aware... cheers

Ok, here is a nice little but very honest comment.

IAT is NOT worth it .

I bought it and it was just not worth it. Actual worth? Something around $50-100. No more...

One of my big regrets.

And Joel is a very prolific emailler...Geez, I cannot stand his emails almost every day!!!

I would like to thank everyone for being so candid. I ordered the second set of IAT, AND the bonus/extra volume and just to make sure I didn't miss out on anything, ordered the monthly IAT subscription for good measure. After reading this thread, I cancelled the subscription before it actually got to bill me (at almost 90 bucks I might add) thinking, "I just got 300 templates twelve days ago, from which I have only been able to use about three. What in the @^$# am I going to do with 100 more mediocre templates every month?????" As for the total package, I can only say I'm glad it didn't cost more than what it did because it is only worth about a hundred bucks, seriously. Tonight, I will also be unsubscribing from the Joel Comm/InfoMedia mailing list as I have grown quite tired of his relentless assault of JV sales emails. In this regard, I think Mr. Comm lacks tact and after a while, it becomes apparent that he is working more with certain would-be online marketers desperation versus intelligent people who simply might be interested in a decent money-making opportunity. It’s a good thing he ‘outlawed’ refunds…otherwise he probably wouldn’t have made much of a profit off of IAT at all!

I ordered this set too and was a bit skeptical. I've seen a boatload of offers this year, but this one really seemed to pack alot of punch for the investment. My templates arrived and I was glad to see that the training videos were actually useful. I'm still going through everything, but I have to say this. out of all the guru-promoted cr@p I bought this year, this one actually provided what I paid for. Rare, but true.

Well.. I got the products on the 20th as expected. Still laughing my a$$ off at your initial blog on this.

To be fair, I will say that the templates are all there. It's what was advertised AFAIK. I watched all the videos and did learn a thing or two from them however a lot of the videos content is basic copy/paste and html manipulations. The tidbits of html gunk that were helpful simply boiled down to affiliate link locations. They covered operation of some of the few programs that are available on the CD, which was mildly useful. At this point it's unlikely that I'll spend anything for upgraded or non-included programs like XSP. The one program I had hopes for will not run on my system since I don't need or want .NET on it. I have no clue why someone would write a simple program like Kelidosite or whatever and require the .NET snarl. Only thing I can think of is it's for some sort of phone home or is spyware. I mean my god, the thing is just supposed to change the color codes AFAIK.

HyperVRE looks pretty cool in the video but I am not going to be cobbling my sites together with it. I'm just too hard headed to hand over code creation to a program like it or XSP.. EVEN if it saves me time and makes more profitable pages, sooner. I'll just resort to learning what special things they do and do it myself.

I realize it was supposed to be niche markets but some of these are a bit much, and there are several alarmingly similar templates. One is about a lake somewhere I've never heard of, one on toenail fungus. Well I hope someone out there finds those useful. I suppose though that is my problem.. I've not yet broken over from doing things I like to doing things just for money. Heck, getting a suitable domain and posting up a toenail fungus website with all it's monitization stuff may be killer for making money! Problem is I have no real desire to maintain such a site, looking for information about such stuff. Probably my $$ loss though.

Although I have not completely examined all the templates I did notice very quickly that none of the squeeze pages are valid XML or HTML. The validation began and ended with the templates apparently. Probably no big deal to clean them up but it would be nice if something as simple as these squeeze pages were validated just for the hell of it. The noobs who don't care about spagetti code won't care but it's my belief that if your site is most accessable it is also most digestable by both more people and search engine crawlers.

While browsing through the templates it occured to me that many of them may be taken from the personal photo albums of the crew. Now, what can I say, going on vacations from the previous IAT revenue and selling the photos from it with a few HTML skeleton variations, for some $400,000 ain't a bad gig.

Splork, your insight from earlier:

"..someone who can code via vedit it may be a bitter pill to swallow."

Has merit to be sure. Nonetheless I have never used a template from anywhere before and with further examination them I may learn something. Right off I've not even dug into XML, I'm still using HTML 4.01 for everything. If nothing else, this could be the thing that pushes me into learning about XML finally. :)

I've got no hard feelings about the purchase. If I decide it's just too much directional change for me to use these templates the whole package on ebay might actually be a money maker for me. lol

I'm not interested in justifying the $300 for a few ebooks if I just can't bring myself to use any of the templates.

XSP doesn't come with the package. Some version of HyperVRE does. Whether it's the gold or the free version I wouldn't know. I bought the paid version of HyperVRE and asked for my money back. Didn't care for it.

Love XSP. Have been a happy owner for over two years now I think.

Later. Let us know how it goes.

The XSP and HyperVRE sounds nice and I did looked closer at them both -- as close as I could without trying them. I may fire them both up on an off-net machine to see if they even function. Who knows what kind of marketing junk could be hiding in IM fanatics' products. I have no evedence of anthing, but do know some people will stop at nothing for a dollar.. like the crawlers that suck up public whois information and resell it to -MEMBERS- ugg.

Ahh well. Enough speculation and oral diarrhea about JC and Co. It's not like they need any additional coverage on the web. I'm out of here. I'll drop back perhaps to post some final comments about my feelings for the package once I get it and pick it apart.

It's why I use XSP or WordPress. Just modify them myself. I'm not clever enough, or have the inclination to bother creating from scratch. But with these two programs it's simple enough to modify.
