Janet Smith has written the Digital Nomad’s Guide to Make Money Online. For those of you who read Griz, and really who among the 3 billion people with an Internet connection doesn’t, know that he has blessed her ebook as “the book I would have wrote if I wasn’t so lazy”. This is high praise. She risked sending me a copy during what must have been an unfortunate head trama as everyone knows I am a cynical bastard and don’t like anything. I’ve been lovingly referred to as a curmudgeon. Then again maybe that isn’t such a good thing. But her ebook is.
It would be easy to disregard my review as positive as you may think I am simply being nice. Then again I am a negative bastard so that can’t be it. But this isn’t about me. It’s about a very good ebook that has essentially taken the best of what folks like Griz and Court teach and rolled it up into an easy to read, very informative manual. Griz says:
Janet is a long time reader and friend and practices my SEO method of making long term recurring income using Adsense as a prime monetization method. She has also taken my methods and created a very useful book that covers all the basics to my system of marketing online.
If you are already making money using these techniques then you won’t read anything new in her book. You know what you are doing, it works for you, so carry on. On the other hand if all that shit that the boys yap about has got your head spinning and you still want to give this Make Money Online gig a go, then this is the ebook for you. Simply click the payment button. Tired of navigating Griz’s Blogger site for two years worth of goodness and not being able to keep all the research organized? Tired of printing out all his webpages? Tired of the journal you’ve been keeping of tips you read? Then this ebook will save you time and get you on the right track.
No, it does not promise you Internet riches with some secret web building, traffic collection or keyword research nonsense. It does not promise easy money. It does not suggest any of this is easy. If you want that go find a copy of Keyword Blueprint X Factor Killer version 4. If you want to understand what keywords to target, how to get traffic, how to build blog systems and monetization methods realistically then you won’t be disappointed.
Frankly I may find that I’ll be referring to the ebook more than I’d probably admit. Even old hands can easily get sidetracked in this racket. The fact is if you follow the simple methods that is taught in this ebook you will succeed at making money online. I like the organization that this ebook provides for a method of making money online that works.
But basically this ebook is for beginners, newbies or those that are completely screwed up and can’t figure this MMO mess out. This ebook speaks to you. Drop $37 and follow the plan (or spend hours on Griz or Court’s sites and figure it out for yourself – what’s your time worth?). I damn sure wish this was available to me a couple of years back.

one concern i have is that mini-sites are under attack from google so the whole model taught is under threat. i think that authority sites is the only long-term sustainable business

Hi Splork,
I have two large 3-ring circuses, errr… notebooks, wit Griz’s stuff in them, so this ebook sounds like a good thing to get to help me make sense of all Griz has written. Do you have an affiliate link so you get a bit of gold?
Cheers,
Barry

Splork,
I could not agree with you more!
I too was lucky enough to preview this book and I loved it.
Even after working online myself for 4 years I get sidetracked and tend to jump around. This book brought it all home for me.
I have been reading Grizz for well over a year now and I think Janet summed it all up really well.
I even learned a few techniques that I had not heard before.
Kudoos Janet!

Hey Barry, I think that link above will work. Like Denise mentions too, it does a nice job of summing everything up.

yamanote, I think you are on to something. Though I am not certain it is Google emphasizing authority sites as much as the competition we face are pounding out larger and more expansive sites. IMO as long as you can find keyword phrases that have little competition then Google will have no choice but to rank them. At least that is what I am assuming at this point and it seems to be working for stuff like Hubpages. I think everyone is in agreement that large authority sites is the sustainable model for the future. Though I’m not sure I totally agree with that either. There is always going to be room for niches and sub-niches.

Your googlesearch show results only from web but not from your site.

Thanks Franc. It’s fixed now.

Bought it. Read it. It seems worth the money and more.
However, I was a bit bothered by the vehemence of her denunciation of Dreamhost. I read the link she posted and it seemed like a typical he-said-she-said problem.
It’s a small deal, but it is a worrisome detail, especially since I’ve used DH for three years with well over a hundred sites, both real sites and WordPress blogs, with no problems.
Cheers,
Barry

Your link is crashing as of 11AM today with some strange sql insert err message.
Your blog is one of the few that I follow for product recommendations, so if you can send a working link ?
Gracias

Very good review of Janet’s book. I spent a day reading it and really getting my head around all the concepts and really liked what I saw.
Setting up niche websites isn’t easy, and it takes a lot of effort, but it’s well worth it in the end to create a group of sites that make money.
