By now you know that I submitted an article for the Problogger Group Writing Project. It was one of the best decisions I made in a while. I have received a ton of backlinks from contestants listing all the entries. I checked out some of the entries and there are a ton of smart blogs out there and alot of creative listings. I found it interesting to see how real bloggers work their trade instead of just trying to sling a PLR article and a bunch of Adsense on the post. Understand there were some 343 submissions so I didn’t exactly get around to viewing them all. But here are some that I liked for various reasons:
How to Dress Like a Desperate Housewife: The show sucks. The only thing redeemable is the fact Eva Longoria is fun to look at. However, the post for this blog was smart and genius. The webmaster showed women how to piece together the look that the chicks on the show pull together. All her links went to Amazon products. An outstanding way to make affiliate money!
I like sarcasm. Alot. This post about How to Live a Short, Miserable, Unhealthy Life was informative and made me crack a smile.
More chuckles? How about How to Destroy the Earth With a Coffee Can. That post is a lesson in entertaining and well written blog posts.
Go through the list. This is what the web is supposed to be. Entertaining and Informative. For some reason those of us who follow the teachings of the guberu master have lost sight of that.
Gotta run. I have some more PLR articles to make readable. sigh

Just trying new things. I refuse to put Adsense on here. The ads are just dreadful. My blogs are so off any specific topic that it just ends up being a mishmash.
I talked to a few of the group writing folks via email and some are doing quite well without splashing Adsense. They are doing banner ads with success on all kinds of topics. Why not? When I watch a hockey game I see ads for food, cars, insurance…all kinds of things, not just for hockey skates or goalie masks.
I’m going to remove the ad. See if I can come up with something else.

Can’t do it. My wife is watching it now on the DVR. I HATE the whimsical music that they play. It drives me insane. It’s such a chick show. I’m about to bump her off and watch The Wire. Now that is worth watching.

Hi, Thanks for the link. I spend a lot of time reading internet marketing sites, even though my blog is very new and completely un-monetized right now. I’ve added you to my feed reader; hopefully I’ll learn something =]

Hi Karishma. You have a really informative website. You should look at joining a couple of affiliate programs you like and start marketing those products. You write very well and you seem like you are knowledgeable on your topic. You should do very well.
Thanks for reading
