I interrupt your link building, article writing, clicktastic marketing to bring you a message of importance to me:
I’m fighting Socialism in America in my own small way. If any of you are interested in reading my shit on the subject, then I’d love to have you visit at my conservative blog: Political Lipskip. I’m sick of the imperial federal government whether it is Democrats or the GOP. They all suck. I’m simply for constitutional adherence, fiscal responsibility, limited government and personal responsibility.
This has consumed me in many forms over the last year. I’ve been to Tea Parties, to town hall meetings and the march on DC. I created a blog as another voice in our fight against tyranny. I will become even more involved in the cause in 2010. I have been awakened.
The blog is not as entertaining as this one. It’s more serious in tone. There are far smarter and interesting people that I defer to. I have an opinion and I am another conservative vessel for the flow of information. I have to do something. If only to pass the word around.
This is one reason why my interest in IM has succumbed. There are far more important issues to me than worrying about getting a click. I implore you, if you care about the direction of this country, the sovereignty of the nation, the economic health and freedom and liberty of a limited government then please get involved.
Thank you. Eye rolls have been duly noted. This won’t appeal to most. But even if a few take a look and read some links and start to think about stuff then this post will be worth it.
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive. – Thomas Jefferson

However pissed off you are Splork, I GUARANTEE you I am more angry. And I have been angry since Clinton all the way to now.
However, feeling like there is nothing I can really do other than vote, all my efforts are being spent in IM trying to make money. I feel I need to make as much as I can to make up for all the extra I will be paying for healthcare and all the other things Obama and his Communist pals are going to pass.
My only hope is to make more than they are going to take. Other than that, it is all over as far as I am concerned. Barring some miracle, we now live in socialist Europe and will be Communist China or Russia soon after.
I hear ya buddy. I’m not optimistic though.
You can’t give up. The people have to care and speak out. Speak up. It’s happening right now as never before. I’ve decided to fight however way I can. If that includes taking a day off work to drive to DC to be part of a protest, then so be it. It that is to facilitate information across a stupid and poorly written blog, fine. I just can’t feel like I sat around and did nothing while my family became enslaved by a tyrannical government.
I told my Republican friends years ago that W. Bush would destroy the Republican Party. Now we suffer the results.
The Republican Party needs to broaden its base, and somehow do so without becoming pointless. Both Bushes tried to do so by passing liberal programs (ADA, Medicare extensions) and handing out pork, and thus achieved pointlessness. Now the Republicans try to reach out to the blue collar voters by acting and sounding like them (Palin). Didn’t work.
The Republicans need to work on market based solutions for governing cities, cleaning up the environment and reducing poverty. Denialism doesn’t cut it, especially with the younger generations. If they stay on their current path I think we’ll see a new party displacing them in a few years.
As it is the non-existent Tea Party polls better than the Democrats or Republicans. The GOP is doomed unless they embrace the Tea party principles. As it is they tried to become “Democrat-lite” and it got them nowhere like you suggest. Marxism and liberalism that the youngsters support is a fail. These kids, assuming they ever get a job and a life, will come to realize that.
I’d like to thank you Splork for havuing the courage and will to fight. I think having a blog on this stuff is good, and the more the merrier, because it becomes the media in a sense, which is crucial considering the sad state of our so-called mainstream media.
It’s hard to stay optimistic, but I do think maybe Americans are starting to wake up a bit. I was watching a video (url below) and David Horowitz said he feels there is at least some reason to be optimistic and tells why he feels that way. It’s in part II, but both parts are interesting if you get the time to watch them.

I hear ya Splork. I’ve been to Tea Parties, meetings, wrote Congress, wrote the White House, faxed the shit out of folks, and it seems like they just sit there and spit in our face. I’m ready to take back this country by any means necessary. Everyone of those SOB’s in DC are nothing but criminals that should be thrown in jail. I could write/talk for days but I will leave with this:
The Socialist Party candidate for President of the US, Norman Thomas, said this in a 1944 speech:
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of “liberalism,” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” He went on to say: “I no longer need to run as a residential candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform.”
Where are we today?
Yea, I’m heading down in a couple weeks to start on my gun carry permit. My whole family will be trained and learn how to shoot as well.
Just another right wing-nut.
Me and a bunch of others who live in my county are organizing a class to teach others about the Constitution. The class is based on Michael Badnarik’s famous videos. If you haven’t seen them they’re available on YouTube. I got tired of yelling at the TV.
You too Amanda? My malfunction is reading websites. Comments mostly. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to walk away from the computer in disgust and go play Left for Dead 2 or something with my oldest just to vent and chill. What scares me is the youngsters from 18-24. They are simply lemmings. Following along with the liberal campus agendas. How did Socialism, tyranny and Marxism become cool? Why do they feel capitalism is evil?
Anyway, next semester I’ll be teaching my oldest civics. I’ll be using the 5000 Year Leap homeschool guide and book. Thanks a bunch for the reference. I’ll check it out and see if we can use it as well.
I wrote a blog a great deal like you are doing, but I got paranoid and stopped. It’s in the header I filled out for this comment.
Starting with Ronald The Gipper, we have been selling out the people of this country to some vague, ill-defined but perfectly organized movement to create one world.
It didn’t really start with The Gipper, but it was just coasting until the Guys in the California Redwoods and the Council on Foreign Relations decided to hurry things along.
We, the people, don’t stand a chance as long as there are government employee unions and unconstitutional institutions running things, starting with the Federal Reserve System.
Get ready for inflation like you’ve never seen before, confiscatory taxation and all the trappings of the police state.
It’s over.

We have one chance I think. The Tenth Amendment. I participate in the Tea Parties and rallies, but we have seen how mostly ineffective they are. The politicians won’t listen. The elections in 2010 will be very interesting. But ultimately states are going to have to push back on federal intrusion and growth via the 10th.
I wrote my state senator about the health care bill and the state attorney general looking at the constitutionality of the bill. Two state reps sent the attorney general a letter asking him to look into it. He sent me a response via his iPhone saying he supports what is happening in TN.
Anyway, the changes have to come local. The federal elites are going to continue to ignore the Constitution. The states have the power and I think will soon be wielding it. Things may in fact get very interesting in this country.
The young opt for socialism because they get more direct orders from corporate America than they get from the government. They are socialist for the same reason you do Internet marketing.
What they don’t understand is how the welfare state subsidizes corporate serfdom. Many self-described progressives and socialists are actually Luddites. That’s why you see independent business owners joining the Left camp. That’s why you see vendors selling “Capitalism Kills” T-shirts.
The Republicans have embraced croney capitalism, where Bill Gates pays a lower marginal rate for cashing in Microsoft stock than your family doctor pays for his upper middle class earnings.
Pat Buchanan is trying to organize the Luddites away from their alliance with the New Deal Left, but his mixing of small is beautiful with crochiteyness and hints of racism is off-putting to most. I’m ever-so-slowly trying to build something more mainstream and palatable, but am resource constrained at the moment.

My hat is off to you for doing the home school thing! If all conservatives would boycott the welfare state in such fashion, it would be the end of the welfare state. But the cost is high.
Splork,
I fight this battle at the local level as well and I completely agree with Barry’s comment…
We the people don’t stand a chance against the big government employee unions. It’s absolutely ridiculous how strong and powerful these organization have gotten!
Do you realize that right now the gov. is basically taking money from us (tax payers) and our retirement accounts, what’s left of them, to pay the guaranteed and over-inflated pensions of the same gov. employee union members?
Absolutely sick!
You’re right I really hope the people get some control back in 2010.
You’re right Dan. It is sick. all you had to do is look at the stats for the federal pay that came out a few weeks ago.
“Government workers are enjoying a boom time since the democrats took over Congress. The average pay of a federal worker jumped to $71,206, compared with $40,331 in the private sector.”
Government grows. The government does not create wealth or “stuff”. They only suck from the taxpayers.
The one thing that really bugs me is the Chinese are killing the west by selling so much cheap stuff. (We like idiots buy it because it’s so cheap). This just kills off many jobs while we’re making China rich. The wealth is being transferred from the West to China. A lot of “credit” goes to Walmart. That store should change their name to “Made in China” instead. What’s the solution? Add a customs duty so that their products are in line with what is manufactured here. And if it isnt manufactured here because China killed off that industry, hey, add a 500% tax so that this industry will get revived here again. What government has the guts to do this???
