Your article today earned you at least one new fan. It is terrific.

I’d really like to hear more truth about article writing. For instance, if you do the research the articles submitted to the directories simply are NOT getting picked up and put on good sites. They are mostly garbage spun sites and, yes, that is what they are.

Are the garbage sites making decent money?

I think they call that “The Long Tail” Claude. Picking out those long phrases that are searched but a few times. Not the large quantity phrases but more of the quality phrases, if that makes sense. But whatever they call it, it’s a good strategy.

PLRPro is supposed to be adding niche sites as well. The current article directory is the first of many.

I’m tired of rewriting though. Like you said it’s tedious. I’m spreading myself pretty thin lately and am getting tired of writing.

I’m a member of AU and PLR-Pro. The difference is essentially organization and posting blogs. PLR-PRO is designed for not only adsense income but can easily be used to generate affiliate and personal product sales also. AU is much more focused on getting keyword based PAGES ranked and generating Adsense. The announcement blog farm (22 at the moment) all on individual IP addresses is what keeps me with them for the moment.

I’m with you Splork. I rewrite all the articles as well. It’s tedious but I can add additional low volume related keywords into the article and haven them doing double duty. I have some articles that show up on page 1 of G for several different keyword phrases. OK, we’re not talking about millions of searches for them but still, if I can get another 20-50 visitors just by adding a couple of extra words…why not?

It also adds to the general “theme” idea of the site. )

And I would prefer to use my social networking tool to post my links into my accounts on Delicious, Furl, etc. Much better results.

Interesting point. Sounds like you are very focused which is what I am working towards and am making progress.

I don’t code nor do I want to, so the minimalist approach to building sites like you have undertaken is just not going to work for me.

I’ll stick with WP, XSP and few other tools to help me build. I’ll still rewrite by hand as I haven’t used an article rewriter that produced anything better than crap. Submitting the feeds. I don’t know. WP already builds that in. And I would prefer to use my social networking tool to post my links into my accounts on Delicious, Furl, etc. Much better results.

But yea a system that I can plug into might be good.

Sounds like you are a busy fool. We’re walking pretty much the same path, and yet I use just three pieces of software;

~ article rewriter
~ site builder
~ rss submitter

I have no doubt that you will start expounding about how using software produces rubbish sites. Used properly any tool is as good as the person operating it…

So, with three pieces of software, all built by myself – I can take a pack of 20 articles, rewrite them and draw out the best 10 or so, make a site, announce the site – and all in less than 20 minutes. I then spend an extra hour doing other promotion – eg submit an article to one of the article directories, get a few high PR backlinks and so on. Then I do the same tomorrow for a new site, and the next day, and the day after, etc etc etc.

All you need is a system. Once you are happy with the system you chose, then start to automate it. You will no longer be a busy fool…

Interesting that you just happen to mention about AU. I was seriously thinking of joining them just to see how it compares to PLR.

Would love to know who those other members are just to satisfy my curiosity! Might save myself $100 or so a month from AU… Mind you, they do have a great “sales pitch!” I’ll give them credit for that! LOL
