Hi. I’ve received no less than 9 emails soliciting Ewen Chia’s Super Affiliates monthly membershit. I received one from the list master Joel Comm. He says that affiliate marketing should be in every person’s arsenal. And he’s sure Ewen’s offering is what you should load up with. At least this week. Tomorrow he’ll recommend something else that will change your life. I received one from the Day Job Killer team. And I thought their ebooks and monthly membership products were all I’d ever need to make 5 figures monthly. They were supposed to transform me from a super cube dweller to a Day Job Killer. Guess I need some more help. Derek Grehl says it’s a no-brainer. Matt Garret assures me it has mucho value. I even received an email from the MASTER AFFILIATE himself inviting me into his inner circle. He says he’s ready to change my life.
Once again I have no idea if Ewen can make you rich. I don’t really care. What I do know is that when you sign up two things happen: 1) you make Ewen an affiliate master and 2) you give all his JV sub-gurus your money without them having any idea if the stupid program works.
I guess I should believe because on his salesbook, I mean salespage, he is bragging about, and standing in front of, his new BMW that he paid for in cash. What kind of asshole does this? Oh yea, telemarketers and Internet marketers.
Anyway, I thought Ewen already gave you the keys to the”Easiest Money You’ll Ever Make” with his Secret Affiliate Weapon. That can be had for a measly $10. Lifetime membership. So if it’s the easiest money I’ll make, why should I spend $47 a month for something new? Now I’m just confused.
For “just a small measly investment of $3,129.00, $347.00, $147.00, $47 per month” … wait. Why are we still putting a strike through in ads? Oh yea, because memberships like these prey on those that don’t know. How pathetic to presume that anyone would believe a stupid membership would be worth that kind of money.
I told you in a previous post that I think the bucket is getting empty for people to market to. People are starting to realize that ebooks and memberships aren’t making anybody rich except the owners. So now the game has focused squarely on the newbies and those that have failed to make the big money they thought was possible. This little gem was (one of) the headline(s) for Ewen’s salespage:
Still Struggling To Make It Online? Not Even Sure Where To Start? Get Ready To Change Your Life Forever
What a load.
I will not be joining the inner circle of Ewen Chia’s Super Affiliates. The inner circle will probably be filled with numerous upsells anyway. Screw that.

Hi Splork,
Very eloquent and enjoyable rant.
I’m sure it was Ewen who did a ‘final product before retirement, very expensive but he tells all about being a super affiliate’ launch, ooh, about 18 months ago?
It’s so addictive this affiliate marketing stuff, he couldn’t help himself and came back to it and learnt some more, and now wants to share again.
Kind of ironic the ’still struggling to make it online’ headline you quoted. That’s no way to speak to your previous customers…
You keep mentioning the ‘7 readers’ - I’m proud to be part of the magnificent 7 but I’m sure I’ve seen you linked to in the blogroll of more than 7 blogs.
Keep ranting Splork

Well said, splork.
They don’t call it the “make money online” crowd as the “hungriest market” for nothing.
From “7 Figure Code” to “Super Affiliates”. Another month to go for just one more big product launch, then we’ll have another year of the same.
I thought Ewen Chia’s retired or something after he “cloned” someone to take over the mantle. Hmm, maybe that’s his clone.
This is insane.

Hey Splork - In addition to your feed, I also subscribe to those of sites like GrokDotCom, The Long Tail, SEO20/20, TechCrunch, Neil Shearing, SEOMoz, Seth Godin etc etc. And know what - Lost Ball in High Weeds is always the one I read first and enjoy most. So I’m very happy to be one of the Select Seven! Keep up the good work, specially pulling the piss out of the IM “gurus”.

Thanks for reading Scotch. Roger. I appreciate it.
Mohd. It is insane. Sort of. More like money grubbing. Super Affiliates must be a big thing. I’ve already gotten a few more emails this morning with some big time bonuses for purchasing through the guberus links.
Of course if I was the one making 5 figures an hour on this shit I might not be complaining.

Splork, I’ve been reading your blog for a while now and do appreciate that you are speaking out for all of us folks who’ve learned the hard way about IM. I’ve never commented before, but now’s the time to start participating.
The reason being is that after spending so much money like we all do on IM products, it was Ewen Chia that finally showed me the light when I realized he was simply repackaging the same information over and over again with a new sales letter and graphics.
If you bought one thing from him, you never had to buy anything else because you just got the same thing over and over again … and then I realized most of the “gurus” were doing the same thing.
That realization changed everything and I finally stopped buying this stuff because I’d moved out of the “newbie” zone and realized how much I’d wasted.
I figure it takes about a year for a newbie to figure that out and it’s blogs like yours that will help them get past the newbie zone a lot faster.
I hope you’re right and the market for preying on people who don’t know any better is getting saturated, but somehow I think this type of hype will go on for awhile yet.
However, we all live and learn and getting screwed by all the online IM gurus is a lesson most will need to learn before they become successful online.

I was reading a 7 page or so super top secret “report” (I believe from him, but can’t find it on my computer). He stressed not to give it out to anyone as it was confidential, blah blah blah…I read it and it was the same old rehashed stuff. Nothing at all new there. Today I got yet another email from him. This says from “Ewen Chia | Stuff your inbox with cash”. What he really means to say is: “Stuff MY inbox with cash!!!”
Dave // Dec 5, 2007 at 3:52 pm
Forget Ewan. The one that cracks me up is George Pluss (common name in Asia) and his dime sales-”But you gotta be quick to lock in the price.”
So quick that I have yet to lock in the price and find anything even remotely resembling a .10 cent price tag-more like $60-$70.
I do get a kick out of your blog!

Splork, you make me laugh.
Lost Ball is better than most blogs I read.
Keep it up dude…

Haven’t read Ewen’s books except for a free report he gave away (likely written by a ghostwriter)…and it’s obvious where it was headed - his pocket.
Love the comments here too…”stuff Ewen’s pockets with cash…?” HaHaHa, very funny, but true.
Seriously, the guy’s rich enough, but when you have a high roller lifestyle, I guess you have to keep pumping out smoke and mirrors, and more smoke and mirrors, to finance that high roller lifestyle…

I just got an email from Shawn Casey wherein he allowed that Ewan Chia has just made $540,000 from his super system and that I can buy it for $27.
Wow! That means that Ewan found 20,000 people to buy his system! This guy is, indeed, a super marketer!
But you’d better buy now, because the price will soon “skyrocket” to $97.
I wonder if Ewan regrets leaving $1,400,000 on the table.

When it comes to cheese factor, Ewen’s sales pages score a 10/10.
Dave // Dec 8, 2007 at 5:57 am
Your blog hits the nail on the head, so far after 8 months of bashing my brains against the wall with IM I made one $5 sale of an ebook I spents weeks lovingly crafting and $16 from adsense. I’ll be honest, Im getting a little disheartened.
Think its time to buy another make a million e product.

Dave, George Pluss dime sales page is the real deal. Last time he had his dime sales, I managed to get the deal at $0.30
I was up at 2.00am doing one of my site when i received his email about his new dime sales. I clicked the link and saw his payment page set at $0.30.
Anyway, most of his dime sales are crappy adsense templates. But at $0.30 a pop, i find it hard not to ignore. hehehe….
Don’t give up, Dave. We are cynical here but we are not quitters.

Mohd, persistence is our greatest resource but the problem seems to me to be.
“A newbie looks over the previous three months results, then repeats the same and somehow expects a different result.”
Fodder for the unscrupulous IM.
Maybe that lesson takes some time to learn even in life.
Luckily I was born a Scot and getting money from me is like pulling teeth from a chicken. Not to say that many things advertised are not worth buying but I had better need them for their current educational value to me.

Gotta admit, Ewen made it look so convincing to someone who is down-on-luck a little and looking for any way up!
Thank goodness I found the info above. It shows a little research goes a long way!
Thanks to all who saved me from putting my cash in Ewen’s pockets!!!

Hey Splork,
“What kind of asshole does this?” - Super affiliates and salesmen do this all the time. Some offer their as….. to potential buyers and add their granny’s as….. too as a bonus.
wakeuppls // Sep 23, 2008 at 11:51 am
ewen released another slew of yet again, rehashed stuff. he released yet another “system”. internet wealth system, right after the “working from home” (a recycle of super affiliates btw). talk about cashing it in. alot of desperate buyers in the im niche out there. cha-ching! thank god i got my refunds just in time. :/
