The Death of Adwords for Affiliates

March 22nd, 2007 · 2 Comments

And I thought everything was already dead. I just received an email to check out The Death of Adwords for Affiliates. The report is billed as “shocking”. The only thing shocking is that people are still using “Death of” to drum up business.

The whole point of this is to “shock” you into buying into Adsense Weath Empire. I get what they are doing. If you read the report (really just a webpage so you should manage to stay awake) they make an interesting observation about how big business is squeezing out the little guys with their massive budgets on Adwords. It’s really just to harrass their competition. Company A is trying to splash their ads over the whole of a Google search. How? Multiple domains. Tons of money. It all equals exposure. Yea I get it. Tough for us affiliate marketers to compete with that.

So what do you do? Easy. Build Adsense sites. With all this money flowing into Adwords, Google would be practically begging you to add Adsense blocks to your sites.

I’m just not sure I need to spend a thousand dollars to do that. Apparently others are thinking the same thing as there are still openings available. Of course they said it was only available for 48 hours.  We are now into the 50th hour and counting.

The only caveat to that is companies spending a whack of cash on Adwords are opting out of displaying them on adsense sites - just paying to show on the actual Google results pages.

So there’s no guarantee those extra dollars will trickle down to any MFA websites.

But on the other hand, many of these big companies have more money that brains - or at least more money than internet savvy - so it’s possible they *would* be spending on both google and adsense website ads.

But it’s certainly not a definite either way for any given keyword or niche.

    My 2 cents! :-)

Yea, it could happen, but most people want exposure to whatever it is they are selling. No you probably won’t get $50 Adwords on you Adsense blocks, but I get $1 to $2 ones all day long. Build up a bunch of those sites and you’re golden.
