By now I am sure everyone has seen their email clogged with offers for Instant Adsense Templates. Looked pretty good to me so I purchased the kit. I jumped in with the Jason Potash bonus collection. He had a couple of nice little programs he and Marc Quarles put together so I thought it would be kinda cool.
So I make the purchase, get the confirmation in the email and head out for a bike ride. Came back a couple of hours later to find a ton more Instant Adsene Template offers in my email with one sticking out like it was fashioned from neon HTML.
“InstantAdsenseTemplates.com – Violation of PrivateLabelMonthly.com”
So initially I figure it’s another ploy by the master list holders to get me to buy the product through them. You know the kind where they say “Do Not Buy Instant Adsense Templates Until You Read This, Or Else!”.
But oh no. It has to be Joel Comm’s worst nightmare. The email says:
Hi Splork,
Violation of Terms and Conditions of PrivateLabelMonthly.com.
DO NOT BUY InstantAdsenseTemplates.com from Joel Comm and Eric Holmlund.
InstantAdsenseTemplates.com has violated our Terms and Conditions by bundling the products of PrivateLabelMonthly.com and reselling them to the public. This is in direct competition of PrivateLabelMonthly.com and its members and had violated the membership terms and conditions.
As a valued subscriber we would like to protect your interests and have contacted them to immediately cease and desist. We have already contacted our attorney. Contingent on their response, we will take legal action.
To Your Success,
Michael and Anthony
PrivateLabelMonthly.com
So I make a post over at AdsenseChat basically wondering, WTF? No response…
The thing is, the product is pretty good. It’s a good purchase in my estimation. Figures because I have to wonder if I will get in trouble for using it now. I imagine they are referring to the articles but jeez if all they did was re-bundle PLM stuff, you’ve got to wonder what the hell were they thinking? Did I really just purchase hand me downs?
And the thing is, I bet I received no fewer than 7 emails from master list gurus who said that I should buy this package from them. What would that say about them? There must have been 30 testimonials on the webpage saying how great the package is. Wouldn’t say much for those folks either. Makes me wonder if anyone actually checks out the package before submitting a testimonial or pimps their list.
“Package? What package? I’ve got a cheesy picture and a URL to promote on this testimonial.”
How many people, from the top of the IM food chain could have spoken up and said something? Someone must have known there was a problem, if in fact there is one. How many people gave a cursory “It’s Great!” testimonial to IAT and also one to PLM? I bet there is some overlap. If someone had actually used both products wouldn’t it be conceivable that they would have noticed there was a problem? Don’t you think that at least someone could have spoken up before everyone starting counting the money? Alot of reputations are on the line here.
I bet Joel and Eric are not smiling while they count their cash tonight.
Update: Joel Comm has posted at The Warrior forum that it all was a big misunderstanding. He did not elaborate. Excellent.
Update: Here is an email I received from PLM
Hi Splork,
As a valued subscriber of our list, here is the latest update
regarding the product InstantAdsenseTemplates.com.
This evening I spent a couple of hours on the phone with Joel Comm.
I did my best to rectify the situation and to ensure that membership
interests are maintained. It took some time but we managed to come
to an agreement. To our paid members, you should have receieved our
email regarding this.
Thank you again for all your patience and support.
Warm Regards,
Michael Santiago
PrivateLabelMonthly.com
So what I want to know, what part of this package am I not only sharing with 2000 IAT people but also PLM members?
Update 7/7 - Question Answered:
Hi Splork,
We have received all your concerns and comments regarding
InstantAdsenseTemplates.com and its use of PLM content.
We want to make it clear that we do not tolerate any violations of
our terms and conditions. With that said, the issue with Joel and
Eric have been resolved. It was a misunderstanding and there was no
malice intended.
There are currently about 700 active members in PLM and Joel has
STOPPED
sales at 1300 units. Thus, there are no more than 2000 packages
distributed (700 + 1300).
Please understand that Joel, Eric and their team have spent hundreds
of hours putting together this solid package. It’s not simply templates
and articles but a complete system with video tutorials and a thorough
manual. It is well worth the several hundred dollars price tag, but as
a
an active member you are receiving a full complimentary package.
Joel is a good guy who knows his stuff and I’m glad you’ll all be able
to
see and learn how he puts together a successful adsense site.
We will be uploading the first volume this weekend. Any question or
concerns please followup here:

Hi,
I’m interested in your conclusion to this. I am in dispute with PLR monthly over refunding all my cash. Deep down I feel like taking it further. I didn’t buy IAT. As documented above, on day 1 PLR monthly were furious that their terms had been broken, and the members of PLRM. They were going legal.
The next day ’something’ made them change their minds. Suddenly it’s all a misunderstanding and we are being offered the IAT package too. I told PLRM exactly what I thought of this and demanded a full refund. They tried to fob me off. I have now examined the two packages and IAT DID simply create the package out of the PLR monthly stuff. Therefore 2000 people have been conned.
Therefore I have written back to them in stronger terms.
Regarding Warrior, someone started a thread, there were a few people making derogatory noises, but none of them purchasers - except me. I said exactly what I thought. Ben Schaffer came on there and started laying into me. Then posted that his subscribers were ‘lapping it up - I’ve sold 71 so far’. He is one of the guilty affiliates/testimonial providers.
So I slapped him down and he disappeared. Others came along and chipped in for him, I slapped them down too. I was the only person willing to stand up and say, “this incestuous PLR thing must stop, it is ruining internet marketing, and ruining the SERPS, and ruining adsenses reputation.”
What ticked me off the most is that I promoted PLRM 3 months ago to my list - 3 months ago, so by default I have now sold rubbish to my list!
If there was a way of taking this further and making a stance for consumer rights and exposing the Santiago brothers, Joel Comm and Erik Holmlund for the bottom feeders they are, I would be happy to stand up and do this - because the rot that they have set in runs deep in IM. Guess what happened on Warrior? The thread got deleted because you are not allowed to slag off a fellow member or their products. Now I understand and respect that, but where does that leave me now?
The whole thing stinks. The reason I have withheld my name is because I am not sure how far this will go. But I wondered what your opinion is on this?
PS - I have seen this over and over again. Remember SEO cash cow where the seller conned the big guns into promoting it by sending them cow toys and not showing them the product? The big guns didnt bother to look either and went and promoted it. It was a blatant rip off, they were sold as new products worth $50000. They were all repackaged source code blowout products! Some 2 years old! Blog submitting software! OMG. Again I was the only one willing to shout about it on warrior. Again I got attacked by affiliates. Again, the thread got deleted. I’m so sick of this.

I am not real thrilled with how this shook out. I think if I was with PLM I would cancel. As a matter of fact, I was a member for one month and bailed. Anyway, it ticked me off to see some of the same templates and content that I got for joining PLM in the IAT package.
I won’t be buying anything from Joel Comm again. The quality is fine. Great for spamming the web with more adsense sites. But I wasn’t expecting the guy to rehash product that I had bought before. I think that he should have disclosed the fact that he was just repackaging the same ol crap.
I think IM is really starting to look bad. High priced, low quality product. JV collaborations pimping to email lists incessantly. Etc.
It’s funny, it seems like IM is doing the same thing that they were doing when portal sites were all the rage. Just flinging stuff at the wall to see what sticks. So now they are flinging offer after offer and the consumer gets stuck with messes like this.
Don’t know what else to tell you. I can find enough value with the product to justify my cost. The exclusivity that PLM members were supposed to have is kinda out the window though.
I kinda laughed after I read the PLM email and looked at the product and thought, boy have I been duped again or what? When will I ever learn? Maybe I’ll start this week.
