A Wednesday Whine

by Splork on August 22, 2007

There is nothing instructive about this post. Just a little something that has been bugging me. Kind of like the assholes here in Nashville that pull out in front of you and accelerate to a maximum velocity of 30 mph on a 40 mph back road that I’m used to going 50 mph on. Just a little nit picky thing that pisses one off.

Well here’s something else that is nerve grating. This one from the land of guberus:

You can download it right now — even if it’s 2:00 a.m.!

Really. Do you seriously think that you are marketing to people who think that the Internet is only open from 9-5? Would you even want to market to those people, much less sell to them? How long ago was this a problem? 1996?

Seems like the marketers need to update their sales template. I’m jus’ sayin’.

what I hate is when the date is always today. It doesn’t matter if you look at the page next week or next month, dates are always “today”. Whether it’s the date the page was created or when an offer ends.

Lol….

Nice one to pick at man! Just talking to Joe Tierney the other day cuz I remember he put 3:00 am on his BG salespage…he told me it was to show his rebellion against the herd marketers.

BTW — Your in Nashville. I am heading that way in October dude…Small World!

Yeah, the Internet is open at 2 AM, but only the drivethrough window…

Hey Splork,

I always wondered, what kind of 9 to 5 job do you do? And, if I may ask, how much do you earn on average every day in your internet endeavours ? Just curious, so I understand if you don’t wanna answer such personal questions.

You can thank Yanik Silver for his Instant Sales Letters.

My favorite:

Do a search for “painless drop in the bucket”…31,500 (with quotes) at the time of this writing. That’s why Yanik drives an Aston Martin :-)
